A pesar que ya tengo un año viviendo en la ciudad de Curitiba - Brasil he salido pocas veces, aquí hay muchísimos parques naturales, pero en esta oportunidad les quiero contar cómo es que llegue hasta el Parque São José dos pinhais.

Although I have been living in the city of Curitiba, Brazil, for a year now, I have rarely gone out. There are many natural parks here, but on this occasion, I want to tell you how I ended up at São José dos Pinhais Park.

Después de un domingo de largo trabajo y estrés, mi enamorado me invitó a dar un paseo, él sabía que hace un tiempo estaba queriendo ir a ver las capibaras, así que llegando a ese parque, yo estaba fascinada con lo grande que era.

After a long and stressful Sunday at work, my boyfriend invited me to go for a walk. He knew that I had been wanting to see the capybaras for a while, so when we arrived at the park, I was fascinated by how big it was.

Las capibaras estaban más que relajadas unas comiendo y otras acotadas llevando sol, son tan hermosas de cerca, me provocaba darles un abrazo, mi novio haciendo bromas las llamaba por mi nombre, él dice que yo me parezco a una capibara jajaja lo bueno es que yo las veo hermosas y gorditas.

The capybaras were very relaxed, some eating and others basking in the sun. They are so beautiful up close, I wanted to give them a hug. My boyfriend was joking around, calling them by my name. He says I look like a capybara, ha ha ha. The good thing is that I think they are beautiful and chubby.

Luego de estar admirándolas, pasamos acostarnos en la grama y ver el paisaje, el clima estaba un poco frío, pero el sol se sentía como que no estaba calentando, nos dio sed y fuimos detrás de un jugo de caña, que aquí en Brasil es llamado caldo de cana, nunca había probado la caña combinada con limón, mi enamorado pidió con piña y me pareció una delicia, por supuesto fuimos donde estaba aglomerada más las personas, luego supimos el porqué de tanto movimiento, resulta que la barraca es de una pareja que hacen un buen equipo y cuando bebes ellos te ofrecen llenarte el vaso nuevamente, y por supuesto que aprovechamos, tenían lo precios mas accesibles del lugar.

After admiring them, we lay down on the grass and looked at the landscape. The weather was a little cold, but the sun didn't seem to be warming us up. We got thirsty and went to get some sugarcane juice, which here in Brazil is called caldo de cana. I had never tried sugarcane mixed with lemon before. My boyfriend ordered it with pineapple, and I thought it was delicious. Of course, we went where there were more people, and then we found out why there was so much activity. It turns out that the stand is run by a couple who make a good team, and when you drink, they offer to refill your glass, and of course we took advantage of that. They had the most affordable prices in the place.

Mientras nos refrescamos con tan deliciosa bebida puede admirar a las familias con sus hijos y algunos con sus mascotas, me contagia ver las personas felices, tanto así que el estrés que me estaba torturando, el dolor de mi espalda y cabeza desaparecieron.

While we cool off with such a delicious drink, you can admire the families with their children and some with their pets. Seeing people so happy is contagious, so much so that the stress that was torturing me and the pain in my back and head disappeared.

Conectar con la naturaleza siempre va hacer una excelente medicina, hasta aprovechamos para conectar nuestros pies con la grama haciendo (GROUNDING), fue increíble el cómo me sentía después, así que mi compañero prometió llevarme a conocer más parques en Curitiba y hacer esa actividad más a menudo.

Connecting with nature is always excellent medicine. We even took the opportunity to connect our feet with the grass by doing GROUNDING. It was incredible how I felt afterward, so my partner promised to take me to see more parks in Curitiba and do that activity more often.

Me encantó el parque, tiene un puente de madera en medio del lago que nos lleva donde hay muchos juegos infantiles, y el área de comida, tiene lindos jardines zen, hasta patitos en fuera y dentro del lago.

No me arrepentí para nada haber aceptado la invitación, les prometo que el próximo parque que conozcan lo compartiré con ustedes.

I loved the park. It has a wooden bridge in the middle of the lake that takes you to an area with lots of playground equipment and a food court. It also has beautiful Zen gardens and even ducks in and around the lake.

I don't regret accepting the invitation at all. I promise that I'll share the next park I visit with you.
