Day 17: My Turn with the Tiny Detective
Here's my drawing for Day 17 of the 31 days of drawing challenge
The prompt asked for a Raccoon as the species, so that's what I went with. For the pose, I tried to draw him holding a flashlight and looking like he's sneaking around, trying to catch that feeling of being on a secret mission. He's got a hoodie and gloves on, just like the accessories suggested.
The main vibe or theme for this one was Trash Panda Detective, and I really focused on making him look like he's on the case. And of course, the must-have items were a magnifying glass and a little notepad, so I made sure to include those clearly.
It's fascinating how all these little details from the prompts, these tiny pieces of information, come together to make the final drawing. You spend your time thinking about each small part – the pose, the clothes, the items – and suddenly, you've created a whole character. It makes you realize how even the smallest instructions, these little thoughts we put into things, can really shape what we create. It's like, how many of these tiny choices did I make today, or in the past few months, that ended up making something bigger?
Making this drawing, following all those little prompts, really showed me how every tiny detail has its own part in telling the story. It was a good challenge, and I think it fared pretty well
