Ladies of Hive Community Contest #138 - I Love You Dad
Hi everyone,
My name is Kahkashan and i live in delhi, India. This is my very first blog in Ladies of Hive Community.
I came to know about it via a contest that is running on this community and my very first blog here is my participation in this contest itself.
The topic for the contest can be seen below.
1️⃣ A day recognizing fathers will be celebrated later this month in some parts of the world. With the changing perception of gender roles in our modern societies, how would you define the roles and responsibilities of fathers? And why do you define them that way? 𝐀𝐍𝐃 / 𝐎𝐑 ~
2️⃣ If you had a beloved "father figure" in your life (father, grandfather, uncle, family friend, employer, etc.) and would like to recognize them with a story, we'd love to hear it!
People can click on the below image to head over to the contest to know more about it.
I will narrate the story of my life to participate in this competition and share how much my father means to me. So let's start,
Life is not easy and we have to face lots of ups and downs while we live it. This statement fits well on me and my family. My father use to work in Dubai and we all were happy.
Me and my sister went to the hostel and our father was fulfilling his responsibilities really well. He use to come India once a year and that was a moment of joy for the entire family.
People use to come and meet my father when he returns to India. He use to bring gifts for each and everyone in our village and everyone was always happy to meet him.
Then comes a time when my father lost his job and he returned to India. This was a tough time for all of us and good days were now gone. We were now struggling for good food and cloths as our father don't had a job anymore.
This was the time when my mother use to sew and earn little money for our family but that was not enough for our family. People who use to come and meet my father happily now acted like strangers.
I know my father was broken but he never showed it to us. He always motivated us and asked us to believe in god and told us that god is seeing everything and he will surely help us.
I remember that there were few people who really helped my dad by lending him money and also thanks to my uncle who supported us in tough times.
My father was continuously finding a job but he failed each and every time. People might get shocked but it was a time period of five years when my dad did not have any proper job.
He use to do small temporary work to earn little and support our education. There came a time when even my uncle took his hands of us and we all were left alone.
I remember that it was the month of August when we got seperated from our uncle and by the month of November my father got a job in Dubai again.
My dear friends, this was a time frame of five years. I have seen my father as a fighter who never gave up on life, who faced every situation of life boldly. Life was about to change again.
My father went to Dubai and he soon returned the money that people lended him as a help in our tough times. It has been 8 years now and he is working in Dubai at present as well.
I have a little sister who is 14 years old and he is working for all of us. My sister wants to be a doctor and my father is always supporting her telling her that he will do everything he can to give her the best education possible.
As a kid i might have not realised about the sacrifices and difficulty my father was going through but as i have grown up i see how much he has given to us even being away from us.
I have learnt to never give up, to always fight the situation, to always keep trying, and, to never lose trust on almighty. Yes, i have learnt all this from my father.
I have said it many times to him and i am going to say it again via this blog. Dad, I love you and you are the one and only superhero of my life.
Thank you for giving us a beautiful life, taking all the pain on yourself and protecting us like a protector. You are the best dad and i hope almighty will give you the best place here as well as in heaven.
That was all i wanted to write and share about my dad, thank you everyone for reading till the end.

Such Fathers don't get enough credit for their sacrifice, persistence and faith.
And welcome to #ladiesofhive
Thanks for welcoming me and i agree with you that is why i really liked this contest and participated in it to share about my father's story. I know even thousands post like this are not enough to praise my dad.
His sacrifices were all made for his children, that's why i ask almighty to reward him because indeed he rewards in the best way.
🥹 it’s lovely how you see and understand the love your dad has for you and the sacrifices he makes for you is admirable 💕
Thanks for sharing @kahkashan
Thank you !
I think everyone should understand the difficulty our father goes through. Smiling while looking at them is enough to make them happy. That is what i think.
I agree totally with you. The pleasure is mine🙏🏽
