Baldur's Gate 3 ~ babbles & photomode 📷✨

For the first time, I am at last in Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3... at the city of Baldur's Gate itself!

And for the first time, I get to witness first-hand all the amusing dialogues with Astarion that I've only read about previously. xD

In fact, I love them so much that they're going to be the first screenshots in this post.

"I can't even tell if any of you are acting strange because you've been replaced or because this group is full of weirdos."

"Of course, what fun! I'm going to fucking kill you."

"If an opportunity arises for me to become a more magnificent bastard than I already am, why turn it down?"

I'm sure there's going to be more, and I look forward to them. xD

With Astarion's amusing dialogue out of the way, let's continue on to some pretty photos!

Serenia, my lovely little Drow Cleric/Sorceress, discovered that the being that had been protecting her all of this time was actually a mindflayer! Ohnoes!

Offered the opportunity to "evolve" further, becoming a mix of humanoid and mindflayer, she kindly refused. Mostly because I want her to stay pretty for my screenshots.

There are some interesting evolved powers that I wouldn't mind having, but I think I'll save that for a different playthrough. The way I'm playing, it doesn't make sense for my lady to accept. Unfortunately I'm all about my inner character roleplay.

What's a trip to the city without a visit to the circus.

Here I played around with some of the colour settings in the photomode filters - I rather liked playing around with Sepia and enhancing it with a little more colour, contrast, and a teeny bit less brightness. I think the result adds a touch more realism to the screenies.

At the same time, I don't like fiddling around too much with the colours - I prefer using the game's palette in most things.

Just some scenery as I run around solving a murder mystery.

And, of course, my little lady needs to take advantage of her wizard whenever she can. There's only so much down-time to be had amidst saving the world!

We're getting to the point now where I need to peek at a Gale Guide, because I don't know how to go about making him a God. I know it has to do with a crown, and keeping it not giving it to Mystra. Or something.

I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Ohnoes! A devil on one side; an angel on the other!

I now have quite lavish rooms to call 'camp'.

As the residents of the city are fearful of murders and mayhem; as one of the murders happened right in the most illustrious Elf Song Tavern; the owner of the tavern kindly allowed my party use of the entire top floor of lodgings. Hopeful that people staying in the tavern would coax more people to rent his rooms once more.

A sound strategy. And I get a luxurious camp!

The city is pretty big and there's so much to do and see. I feel like I might be here for a few days before I finally head towards the end of the game. 😅

Barely touched Act 3 And here I am, inwardly contemplating what my next playthrough will be. I really want to play a Dark Urge! Or even just a basic evil character with no Bhaal-backstory.
