Phone photography contest #95 - I finally got my meter box
Hi, everyone. Happy friday, and welcome to my blog. I #feelgood today infact I'm so excited today because my prepaid meter machine finally arrived today. This might look odd to you as to why it brings me so much happiness, but you would understand better when you share bills with problematic and unappreciative people.
So we had applied for the meter since 2025 when we could no longer bear paying joined electricity bill with fellow tenants. Why I took the bold step to get mine is because some of the tenants have a nonchalant attitude. When the units finishes and you ask them for money they wouldn't cooperate and when I go ahead to recharge the light, they will still use it.
One particular tenant would rather turn on her generator than pay a token to recharge the light just because she works in a fuel station and comes home with free fuel almost everyday.
We've been bearing and managing with them until I had it up to my neck. I quietly started to process my personal meter and it was brought and installed today. It made me really happy because alas I get to recharge and pay for what I use alone. I have my own privacy and control how I use my units.
It came as a surprise to them because nobody saw it coming. I've been the one handling the light generally for about 3 years now without any atom of appreciation from any of the tenants. They make it look like I was getting some kind of benefits from handling the light on their behalf so I will be returning the box to them before the end of this month because I will no longer be handling the general meter of the tenants.
This really made my day. I can't wait to handover the meter box to them 😍

A lot of people take what they have for granted and only know the value when it's lost.

I understand the feeling of excitement and freedom and can relate with your experience, because omoh I have been there. 😂 Maybe I'll tell my story someday too.
Sharing meter, whether prepaid or postpaid, with others is nothing short of punishment. Gosh, some people are just tueh! Very inconsiderate.
I can imagine the look of shock and surprises on your neighbor's faces. Everywhere go first bluurr. 🤣
