Phone photography contest #86 - An Uplifting Assembly Program

Hello, everyone. I welcome you all to my blog. A few months back, we were informed about our assembly program that would be held on the first week of November, and everyone was in anticipation. I marked the date on my calendar with a one day prior reminder. We all know how time quickly flies, and before I knew it, the day of the program was already close by.

In preparation, I got a simple dress because I didn't want anything lace that would make me uncomfortable. I wanted a light fabric, something simple but beautiful and elegant. Three days to the program, I went for a dress hunt, and after checking about two different clothing stores, I found what I wanted, something simple, beautiful, and affordable. I tried it on, and it was a bit tight on the upper burst part, but I didn't mind because I liked the dress. I paid along with the other few items I picked and went to sort my shoes to know which would pair well with my dress. (I had no intention of buying a new shoe)

The program was on Saturday, and I had an appointment at the hospital on Friday, which is a day before the program. Things turned out differently after my appointment at the hospital. My body system changed, and I became ill. I couldn't even meet up with other appointments to fix my nails and do my lashes. I became so weak that I thought I would pass out. I called my buddy and told him what was happening to me. All plans changed when he saw how bad the situation was. We had to cancel our cooking plans for the program. He managed to prepare dinner but I couldn't eat anything. The situation worsened, and I told him to attend the program without me because I didn't think I would be able to attend. He refused and said we would try and attend. I couldn't sleep all through the night, I was having severe pains in my stomach. In fact, it felt like the longest night ever for me.

The next morning, I managed to get dressed for the program. I succeeded in attending, and I enjoyed seeing my brothers and sisters, friends, and family who cheered me up at the program. I slept almost all through because I didn't sleep at night, but I'm happy I made it to the program, and I felt stronger and more alive at the end of the program.

The uplifting talks and presentations during the program made me #feelgood, and I'm grateful for the provisions. I didn't even take pictures as I would have loved to. I love pictures, but on this day, I was not in the mood for anything. The pictures I managed to take before the program was when I wore my shoes, I took them off after the pictures to get my balance.

I hope you like the few pictures I took. If you look closely, you would notice I look pale and forced a smile
Hugs from @kachy2022 ❤️❤️
