The Web3 Platform That Changed Everything for Me.

To be honest, before I came across Hive, I didn’t really know much about anything online apart from just scrolling through social media all day. I would waste my data watching random videos, jumping from one app to another, and at the end of the day, I wasn’t really getting anything in return. It was just vibes and entertainment, nothing more. I had no idea what “Web3” was or what it even meant.

The only thing I had a slight understanding of back then was cryptocurrency. That one, I knew a bit about because some of the people around me were always talking about coins like BNB and Dogecoin. They used to hype those coins and talk about how they made serious money just by holding them for a while. I didn't really get involved, but I listened and was curious.

Now, fast forward to about a year ago — I was in school, and things were a bit tough financially. I was struggling to pay for some bills, and it was just one of those moments where I didn’t know what to do. So I reached out to one of my brothers. He has helped me before and is one of those people who always seem to know about legitimate opportunities. I knew if I explained my situation, he might have something for me.

That was when he told me about Hive.

At first, I didn’t really understand what it was. He just told me hive was a cryptocurrency, told me to check the platform out myself and then he linked me up with someone else who helped me set up the account. They asked me what username I wanted, opened the account for me, and gave me all the keys and information I needed to log in and get started.

Honestly, I was sceptical. I couldn’t wrap my head around the idea that there was an online platform where you could just post about your day, your thoughts, your life, and actually get paid for it. I thought it sounded too good to be true. But when I finally made my first post and saw the rewards drop into my wallet — with real money, not just numbers — that was the moment I knew this wasn’t some prank or scam.

What really blew my mind was that it felt just like other social platforms — people could like, comment, and engage with your posts — but with a major difference: you actually get rewarded for your content.

Till today, Hive remains my favourite Web3 platform because it feels like home. It allows me to be myself, share my experiences, talk about my everyday life, and earn from it. That alone makes it different from every other platform I’ve ever used.
