My music life from childhood to now.

Music has been a significant part of my life since childhood. I was fortunate to have music as a subject in school, which introduced me to various instruments.

One of the instruments I learned to play was the recorder. Although it’s not something I enjoy playing anymore, but i can still produce sounds from it based on my past experience. Learning the recorder and other instruments at a young age provided me with a good foundation and familiarity with music, even though I didn’t pursue it as a skill in later years.

As a kid, I was exposed to different genres of music from fuji to hiphop and even gospel music through various events and parties such as burials, weddings, birthday parties and even Naming ceremonies. Music was a vital part of these occasions, and I always enjoyed being part of the celebrations. One particular activity that I vividly remember was the musical chairs at birthday parties. It was one of the games I looked forward to, and it made attending such events even more enjoyable and exciting for me.

Later on, fuji music became one of the genres I connected with the most. I grew up around older people who frequently listened to Fuji, and through their influence, I developed a strong liking for it. My favorite Fuji artist back then was Ayinde Barrister, who also happened to be my mother’s favorite musician. His music was a regular feature in our household, and I quickly became a fan.

While my love for music has always been strong, I have often wished I had a better singing voice. I honestly admire people who can sing beautifully and effortlessly and sometimes wish i could just have that special talent or skill. There were even times when I tried training my voice, with the hope that regular practice would improve my singing ability. I even envisioned myself becoming good enough to sing melodiously like some of the artists I admire. However, after several attempts, I realized that singing was not a talent I was blessed with. I just had to accept that everyone are blessed with different gifts, and mine didn’t lie in singing. Instead of being discouraged, I embraced this realization and just focused on enjoying music in other ways.

These days, I prefer songs with fast beats and lively rhythms. I just always enjoy music that makes me want to dance and move my body. Dancing is something I find pleasure in, and I often use it as a way to release stress or uplift my mood. For this reason, I tend to avoid emotional songs that can evoke sadness or make me feel down. I normally gravitate more towards music that energizes and excites me, and can help me forget my worries, even if it is just for a moment.

In summary, my journey with music has evolved from learning instruments as a child to finding joy in dancing and listening to upbeat songs today. Although I didn’t become the singer I once hoped to be, but music still remains an important part of my life,by bringing me comfort, joy, and a way to express myself. The role it has played throughout my life has shaped my preferences and the way I experience the world.
