Looks Fade, But Laughter Lasts Forever.

If I’m being completely honest, I know that being handsome comes with a lot of privileges. Society naturally favors good-looking people—whether it’s getting more attention from girls, being treated better in social settings, or even having certain opportunities come easier just because of appearance. I won’t lie, if I was extremely handsome, I probably would have bagged a lot of girls and had them at my fingertips because that is just how reality works. Infact, i have approached several girls in my life and have been rejected many times than i can count just because they feel i am not handsome which actually hurts sometimes.

But then when I think about it deeply, I would actually prefer to have a good sense of humor over just being handsome. Why? Because looks can only take you so far and it can even fade with time, but a great sense of humor can open doors, build meaningful relationships, and even make you money.

Making People Laugh Is a Gift

There’s something special about being able to make people laugh. Imagine having the ability to lighten someone’s mood, bring joy to their day, or make them forget their worries for a while—that’s priceless. I would love to be that person who, no matter the situation, can crack a joke that lifts the tension and gets people smiling.

In today’s world, a good sense of humor can also be a money-making skill. There are a lot of comedians and skit makers who have turned their humor into a career. They entertain people, bring laughter to millions, and in return, they get paid well for it. If I had that ability, I could make people happy while also securing the bag. That’s a win-win situation.

Laughter Helps People Escape Reality

Life can be tough sometimes. People go through stress, heartbreak, financial struggles, and all sorts of challenges. One thing that helps people get through hard times is laughter. Even for me, when I’m feeling bored or down, I have certain people i talk to or certain social media pages and even youtube channels I visit just to get a good laugh. I know that no matter how bad my mood is, those people will have content or say things that will make me smile and forget my worries, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

So if i also had that ability to brighten someone’s day, I would feel really fulfilled. Just knowing that I can make someone laugh after they’ve had a rough day would genuinely make me happy.

Looks Fade, But Humor Stays

Another thing I’ve realized is that physical appearance changes over time. No matter how handsome someone is, aging will eventually take its toll. But a good sense of humor? That never fades. People will always love to be around someone who can make them laugh, no matter how old they are.

Of course, I wouldn’t mind being both handsome and funny—that would be the ultimate combo. But if I had to choose just one, I would definitely pick a good sense of humor. It’s a skill that can bring happiness, open doors, and even help build deep connections with people. At the end of the day, making people smile feels way more rewarding than just looking good.

So yeah, humor over handsomeness any day!
