Chess Tournament Recap: Saturday HiveChess S2R6 Arena

It took every power in me to not rage leave 😹😹 during the game. I literally lost all the games I played due to the bad Internet. I was at advantage in most of the rounds I played but still fumbled because of my time being lost due to the terrible Internet connection. 😭

Well, you win some, you lose some, we keep moving πŸš€.

I am not analyzing any of my own games today 😹, I'm still grieving. Although, we're going to look at a few games played between other players in the tournament today.

Game Highlights and In-Depth Analysis

Round Fixtures:

β™œ FCastro17 vs Ohieku

Game 1 Image

Ohieku seemed to be on fire today. He won against a player with a rating 2000+. White beserked and opened with the Queens Gambit. There was a lot of inaccuracies on White's side and its probaby cos of the time constraint. Beserking a blitz 3+0 is no joke.

πŸ’‘ Note: What I can say cost White to lose this round was time constraint, White lost control of the center which made Black deliver pressured attacks.

β™œ jaki01 vs stayoutoftherz

Game 2 Image

@jaki01 caught my attention when we said this in the chats 😹:

I show you today, how one can play terribly bad and still get a second place.

I decided to pick a game he played with @stayoutoftherz. You can call it Battle of the Moderators πŸ”₯. White opened with the Queen's Pawn Game and both players began to steadily position their pieces. Black initially had the upperhand when he captured Whites's Knight but the tables turned in White's favour when Black blundered his own Knight at move 35. White began to move those little pawns and was close to promotion when Black resigned and White won the round.
