What Doesn't Bring Value to Hive

Yesterday we discussed What Brings Value to Hive and shared some of the things that could prove helpful in bringing value to the platform.

Today we are going to discuss what doesn't bring value to Hive.

First is low-quality content and shallow posts. That means content that is produced hastily or lacks depth and often fails to engage readers. Posts produced just for the purpose of gaining votes with minimal effort, and the quality of the platform is diluted discouraging genuine interaction.

Plagiarised or AI-generated content without human input is likely to be downvoted by the users on the platform which leads to the loss of rewards for both the content creator and those users who have voted for the content.

Relying on auto-voting systems can lead to a cycle where low-quality content is rewarded while posts that deserve more go unnoticed. This is something that undermines the integrity of the platform and discourages users from creating content that is valuable. It can effect their valuable contributions.

Having a culture that is only focused on the short-term means that it focuses only on immediate rewards rather than long-term community building can cause practices that are unsustainable. Prioritizing quick gains over promoting meaningful relationships or creating quality content may not help in bringing value to Hive.

Hive needs to enhance search functionalities and categorization which can help users discover valuable content making it easier for them to interact with quality content. Users might get disengaged if they cannot easily find content that interests them.
