Elon Musk confirms new ‘America Party’ will embrace Bitcoin

Elon Musk has confirmed that his newly formed political party, the America Party, will embrace Bitcoin as a core financial asset, explicitly rejecting traditional fiat currencies which he described as "hopeless".

This announcement came shortly after Musk's public fallout with former President Donald Trump over a massive government spending bill known as the "Big Beautiful Bill," which Musk criticized for increasing the U.S. deficit and government waste.

The America Party aims to challenge the two-party system in the U.S., focusing initially on House and Senate races rather than the presidency, and promotes technology, free speech, reduced regulations, and financial reform centered around cryptocurrency adoption.

Musk's embrace of Bitcoin aligns with his previous support for cryptocurrencies: Tesla was an early institutional adopter of Bitcoin, holding over 11,500 BTC worth approximately $1.26 billion.

The America Party's endorsement of Bitcoin signals a strategic pivot toward promoting monetary decentralization, financial sovereignty, and transparency, potentially attracting voters interested in innovation and economic reform.
