Who Is Your Favorite Naruto Character?

Naruto was the first anime I watched. I have seen all 720 episodes 2 times over. Well, 3 times if we count the first time I watched the anime in fragments. I was pretty young at the time, and I often watched it with my friends on Cartoon Network. Out of the Big Three, Naruto is my favorite. Although I have not seen One Piece, I’m pretty sure it wouldn't be able to match the euphoria I got from watching Naruto. Naruto isn't just an anime, it is a journey loaded with different emotions. I have never come across an anime that makes me laugh, sad, think about life from a philosophical point of view, and feed me with inspirational quotes. One moment, you feel devastated about a character’s death, and the next, you feel hyped about how a character amassed so much power. If you're the type to not know how to hold your tears back, you might even feel emotional and cry.

Many times, otakus have asked me this question. Who is my favorite character in Naruto? The anime has a total of 720 episodes. It also has a good storyline with many characters, making it difficult to choose a particular character to be your favorite. I have come across reels on Instagram where people are asked about their favorite Naruto character. At first, whenever they mention a character that is not my favorite, I’d think, “How is this even possible? How is it possible that you'd choose this character over my favorite?” I have seen an Instagram reel where someone picked Choji over Kakashi. I have also seen an Instagram reel where another person chose Orochimaru as their favorite. Although it was unbelievable, I realized that when it comes to anime, people will always have their favorite characters.

That's what makes the anime spectacular, really—the fact that different characters have different fan bases. I can't count the number of times I have argued with @betadracular who thinks Sakura is trash. On my own end, Sakura is my favorite female character. She is the strongest female character in the whole Naruto verse. She is arguably stronger than Konan. Now, enough talk! Who is my all time favorite character in the whole Naruto verse? It is no other person than Itachi Uchiha!

Naruto is one anime that made me realize that screen time doesn't matter. Why do I love Itachi, and why is he my favorite character? Everything about him is amazing—from his backstory to his powers and the sacrifices he had to make. Everything about him exudes aura! At first, I thought Itachi was a villain because he was a member of the Akatsuki. Even then, I still liked his aura. Itachi is one character who suffers greatly in Naruto, yet he protected the Hidden Leaf Village. I don't think I've ever come across anyone who thinks Itachi isn't amazing. He might not be your favorite character, but you can't deny that everything about him is incredible. Have you heard this guy's voice?! The part where he screamed “Sasuke” still lives rent-free in my head.
