Uniquely Wired
Topics, stories, articles- anything about life resonates with me. It is as if I’m being drawn into a big hole or attracted to an irresistible magnetic force. One of the reasons I enjoy reading just anything about life is because it has no definitive approach or answer. There’s no simple, straightforward answer, each person is entitled to different perspectives. Today, Hive Learners’ prompt asks “What is our purpose in life?.” What is your purpose in life? In my opinion, no two people share the same purpose in life. Each person is on earth to fulfill specific objectives. Picture this: our creator formed us and put us into a garden (earth) and then he whispered into our ears “Your mission in life is to achieve this and that.” That’s just how it works.
As I mentioned, no two people are put on earth to fulfill the same purposes. We are all uniquely wired. Before we discover what our purpose in life is, we have to embark on a journey of self-discovery and self actualization. After we know what our purpose is, then we work towards it. Oftentimes, people drift off course forget what their purpose is, and start to chase frivolous things. There are so many distractions. So many little and eye-catching things that can make us lose focus and forget about our purpose. Let’s use this example as a case study: a boy grows up to be a very good business person. He establishes his foundation in the business world. But, along the line, he joins bad friends and starts smoking and drinking, neglecting his initial purposes. That’s what we call neglect of purpose.
Embarking on a journey to discover your purpose in life is no easy feat. It is not like our purpose in life is locked in a big back and all we have to do is open it. Embarking on this journey requires patience, strength, and utmost seriousness. Ask yourself these questions; who am I? What do I stand for? What interests me? How can I positively impact those around you? These questions can help us discover our purpose in life.
While some people might argue that our purpose in life is not to make money, I am of the school of thought that our primary purpose in life is to make enough money so we can live the kind of life we want. Don’t quote wrong. I don’t want to give off the impression that our only purpose in life is to make money and enjoy our lives, but it should be on our list. Who doesn’t want to live a decent and soft life? The primary reason why most (if not all) of us are here is to make money and satisfy our needs. After we have discovered ourselves and actualization. Chasing financial freedom is primary, when that comes in, every other thing becomes easier.
After you have achieved financial success, proceed to actualize your purpose in life. If your purpose in life is to help others, say by supporting orphanages, then you can proceed to pursue it. Every individual is unique and we all have different purposes in life, however, I believe that if financial success is achieved, every other thing becomes easier.

I totally agree with you on the aspect that having money makes achieving our purpose in life easier and sure.
But beyond money too, I believe God is the first thing that everyone needs to know because he is the one that will help us know what our purpose on earth truly is because he is all knowing. Well, I’m very sure you know this too my love. But sadly, most times, we ignore his hands upon our lives and try to do it all by ourselves and that’s when we keep going forward and backwards.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us Favey 🥰.
Oh! Yes, Hopey. I TOTALLY agree with you. Our creator is the foundation of everything. When the foundation is solid, you know what happens to the building, right?
Thanks for stopping by, love.
The house that has a solid foundation can never be moved!
It’s my pleasure stopping by, sweetheart 🥰
For a second, I thought I was in a debate house where Favour is against the motion 😂
Good points given really! And I like that you added the money part, it would be weird if anyone say they have no purpose to make money in life.
Ah! My meh meh is here.
Calm down comrade.😂
It would be really weird. Money has to be there o.
Thank you.
