Review: Saturday Hive Chess S1R14

Today’s tournament wasn't so bad. At first, I thought to myself that I didn't play well, but when I checked the games, I realized I didn't do so badly. Of course, I could have won more games if I hadn't made little blunders. Last week, I mentioned that I really wanted to play against @justola1, but we didn't get paired together. Interestingly, we got paired today and let me just say it was a very wrong time for me as Justola was on fire! So, as usual, I'll be reviewing some of my games today, including the game with Justola.
My first game was against this player. It was my first time playing with them. As if I knew the tournament would be tight later on and that it would be best to grab as many points as possible, I decided to beserk them which wasn't a bad decision at all. This player is strong, but I played better. I knew I was going to win when I captured their rook. Despite the fact that beserked, I still had more time. I had about 18 seconds left! Great game!

My second game was against our host. Somehow, I am always making blunders whenever I play with Stayoutherz, but today, I made sure I played carefully, and at the same time, I made sure I didn't blunder. I was more focused on this game than any other in the tournament. I had a pawn advantage, and maybe I would have won if I hadn't agreed for a draw, but I felt the draw was a better option.

The battle of the Justs. Well, to put it short, I lost the game. Justola played extraordinarily well today. He even finished 3rd which is very impressive. He had the upper hand in the beginning of this game, I managed to turn the game to my advantage, but just when I thought I was getting in, Justola performed magic! I hope we get paired next week.🤲😂
