Panda-X Website: Constructive Feedback and Suggestions For Growth
Today is the last day of the Panda week in the Hive learners community. Over the past few days, we have been exploring the websites, sharing news about panda-x, the game changer, its benefits, visions, missions, and more. I have thoroughly explored the Panda-X website, and will be sharing my constructive criticisms and suggestions for the betterment of the website. Before I begin, It’d be unfair not to express my appreciation to the amazing team behind this website. Creating a website is a big deal. It is definitely not an easy feat. It requires time, dedication, consistency, resources, and passion to take the community, Hive Learners, to the next level. It is evident that the team has invested countless hours and sleepless nights into building this team. So, on this note, I say a big thank you to everyone who worked on building this website. We, the members, do not take you for granted.
The website is really amazing. The best thing about it is that it is very easy to navigate. It is almost impossible to “get lost” in the website because it has been designed in a creative, yet simple and easy-to-navigate way. However, in my opinion, there are a few changes that I feel would make the website way better than it already is. Again, the website is amazing. Anyone who says otherwise should be thrown into the desert (haha). I'm not an expert when it comes to developing websites- never built one myself, but here are some things that I feel should be added.
To start with, the login options. Currently, the only method to login to the Panda-X website is through Hive Keychain. Of course, this is a very good and easy method, but I think it’d be better and easier if the hive signer option was added. I use the Hive Keychain application to run my activities on Hive, but when I spend so much time on it, my phone starts overheating. This is not the case when I log in with my browser. I feel the Hive-signer login would go a long way in making the website more efficient and effective.
Moving on, the “Discover Blogs” page. “Blogs are the ultimate and they are what keeps Hive going.” Again, Kudos to the team for coming up with these smart ideas. I like the discover blogs page that shows featured topics and creative sunday posts. I was glad when I saw my friend’s post there which she published some days ago. After reading about 3 posts, I noticed that they are connected to the Peakd frontend. I love and enjoy using Peakd frontend. However, I think the team should also consider those who prefer other front ends. I know of a hive user who has been using ecency frontend since day one. My suggestion is that other options should be added, and then it should be up to users to pick their favorite.
When you open the website, you see an overview of all the pages: home, invest, rewards, our Delegators, Rich List, Discover Blogs, Decentralized Curation and About Us. In my opinion, a page should be dedicated for people who are not on Hive blockchain. Panda-x is spreading like wildfire and there's no doubt that one way or the other, it’ll land on the doorsteps of people who are not on Hive. In the Homepage, another feature should be added: “About Hive.” The About Hive feature should display a detailed summary of everything that happens on Hive. This will come in handy for those who are not on Hive. To make things easier for them, an option where they could create a Hive account easily can also be added.
Lastly, I love the dark mode. I enjoy using dark mode. It is nice that the Panda-X website has both the light and dark modes. Do you think it’d be a good idea to have a mixture of both? Or a combination of other colors to make the website more vibrant?
There you have it. Again, I'm no expert when it comes to developing websites, but in my little corner of the world, here are my takes and suggestions for the betterment of the Panda-X website.
Thanks for reading.
