Comfort In My Little Corner
On the surface, fame seems like one of the best things in the world. Many people want to live the life of a celebrity. They want to have countless followers on different social media platforms, they want to be known by many people around the world, and to receive hundreds of notifications within minutes of posting a picture online. Being famous comes with a lot of style; paparazzi taking pictures of you, fans screaming your name and making you feel on top of the world. Whenever we see celebrities, we think of them as people who have achieved greatness.
Now, the question is, would you like it if you woke up one day and became famous? I’m not talking about a fairytale or a fantasy. Let’s say you’re a singer who auditions for a contest, wins it, and overnight becomes a superstar! All of a sudden, people want to know all about you; where you are from, what you do and they want to keep tabs on you all day. How would you take that?
I dream of making it big. I dream that one day I’ll have all it takes to live a comfortable life. Not just any kind of life, but the one I have always dreamed of since I was young; a nice house, a fancy car, a big garden and a beautiful family. This is just enough for me. In my opinion, fame is extreme and it is not just something someone like me would want. I remember last year, this topic came up in one of the community’s prompts and I had to think about it; what if I became famous? Is it something I would like? I have thought about it in all possible ways, and I don’t think there’s one reason why I would want to choose fame. As long as I have the resources, I can do everything I want without being famous. Fame would only make things more complicated.
I remember watching an interview of a celebrity who talked about being famous. My memories are flawed but I think it was a musician or maybe an actor (most probably Tom Holland). According to them, before they became famous, they could go anywhere without getting noticed; eat in their favorite restaurants, go shopping, go to public spaces without getting people’s attention. But fame took all that away. It replaced his privacy with flashing cameras and paparazzi chasing him everywhere, which I find very annoying.
The thing about fame is that it doesn’t just rope its wings around you, it also finds a way to touch those around, particularly your partner and family. Some celebrities try as much as they can to keep their relationship status private. Even though they might try to Netflix and chill indoors and in reserved spaces, eventually, they get tired of staying hidden and want to explore and spice up the relationship. The moment they do this is when they get into the spotlight. Soon enough, they would start seeing blog posts about their relationship. And whenever the media spots them with a different person, new rumors and theories start to spread like wildfire.
All this stress for fame? Absolutely not! I’ll rather remain in my little corner of the world and enjoy everything life brings my way.
Now, to clearly answer the Hive learners’ prompt questions, if I became famous, I’m sure it is something I wouldn’t like, but I’d just have to get used to it. If I could, I would find a way to make the fame die down.

The thing about being famous is that there would be a lot of eyes on someone , you wouldn't be able to D things you usually did on a norms casually
Exactly oo! You will not be able to do things freely.
