I Was Once Condemned | Mixed Media Project for the Sparks Fly Contest by Creative Sparks Community (7/13/25)

Nothing worth striving for comes easy. In fact, Daniella's parents prayed nightly that their daughter would turn from the path she'd strayed onto after meeting the young man from the Southern Region.

Damon promised wealth and status in the land of Levitt. Submit to his false wooden gods made of wood and stone. "Bow down to them," Damon commanded.

Cloaked in evil, for one year Daniella sat on her throne. With a hardened heart and hollow eye sockets, she cast disparaging thoughts and comments of contempt to those less fortunate. She and Damon turned away from good and sought unforbidden pleasure, then recruited others to join them. Within six months, their cult grew to over one thousand members.

Her fame traveled far and wide until it reached her father, Hector. A man of the cloth with his faith steadfastly intact, the next morning, he woke, kissed his wife, then set out toward Levitt.

Faced with opposition, Hector stood his ground. He raised his weapon against the beast that had enthralled her.

He witnessed her transformation.

Danielle rose up. Darkness descended, leaving her body. Shadows fell like archangels from above into the pits below.

Her father fell to his knees. He'd won. But the price to pay was too steep to keep his precious daughter in his presence. He returned home and recalled the tragedy to his wife.

With heavy hearts they rejoiced knowing that their daughter was free, her salvation assured. Not in this world, but the hereafter.

Creative Process:

OLD PROJECT:

• Designed a few months ago using stable diffusion images. My pure fractals I created in the advanced fractal rendering program. An additional image was free sourced.

• Next, I uploaded all images into Canva, my design program, then blended them.

• Third, I utilized Deep Dream Generator to generate a video of the old project showing the transformation in which the evil shield that surrounded Daniella was cast off by the father's faith.

NEW PROJECT:

⁽¹⁾ Image used for my story was retrieved from the stable diffusion program, StarryAI utilizing the information below.

For the starting image, I used an old mixed media art project never before published of an evil princess with a skull as a face to depict evil to re-imagine a new angel-like figure that had been transformed to good.
