Today, I will share my awesome travel experience while working with my gracious patient and her family. This wasn’t my first travel outside my homeland but indeed one of my memorable travel experiences in paradise. A small tropical country that’s famous for its fine white sand and clear and blue ocean… you are thinking about MALDIVES? You got it right!

Aside from my own country, which is well-known for its beautiful beaches, I guess the Maldives has this beauty to capture one’s heart due to its pure and serene atmosphere. Powdery white sand that tickles our senses while walking barefoot in the seashore. The gentle breeze that caresses one’s skin while playfully swaying dress and hair, its’ the perfect scenery I’ll never forget.

Some people say that it is a lover’s place, but I beg to disagree, for I (during that time wasn’t with a lover) had fallen in love with the place itself as well. It cannot only be explored by a pair of hearts- hand and hand, as I had leisurely indulged myself roaming around alone but never felt lonely.

With a grateful heart, we’ll never feel envy, toward those loving couples that joyfully celebrate their days. Honeymoons, Anniversaries, whatever it may - the ambiance of the place adds color to the love they have made. The bravery of expressing their heart’s desire will leave us stunned for a moment and realize how love changes one’s confidence in expressing his/her affection.

Isn’t it fascinating to hear the birds chirping as if they are sweetly serenading our souls? A rare-looking bird who stands nearby and mingles like is just usual.

A reminder that we are never alone because Almighty God is always with us, never-ending loving us despite our lack of time talking with him due to our own chosen race (career and financial stability).

The playful sea creatures show- off their amazing tricks under the crystal-clear water. Sting rays always got that smile pasted on their faces. Colorful fishes scattered all over the marine places, wiggly-waggle tails waving hello to every human they may face.

Marine wonders at our grasp- sea corals, plants, and weeds are well-in-laid. A seascape only our Almighty Creator makes possible indeed.

Eventually, I took some more steps and let my instinct lead me, to head to a place where I could.

As I immersed myself in collecting seashells on the shore, I met this crawling little friend who seemed a bit bored. Its pearly white shell as smooth as silk a home for this cute buddy I call Shelly. Aware that away from seawater it won’t last, still brought it home with high hopes that it may make it -if it does.

Roaming around the Island I forgot to take my meal until my Patient’s daughter called and told me to join them for lunch. The food was awesome. Especially for seafood lovers, the feast was sumptuous, but I didn’t dare to get fully tempted due to my food allergy. My Bad, I brought all my Patient's medications along with the necessary stuff but I abandoned myself by failing to bring my own anti-dote. Often it happens, taking care of other’s health and forgetting one’s health.

There are lots of activities on the Island we stayed in, but for me- Roaming around and swimming in that gorgeous place was enough for me. Indeed, Coco Bodu Hithi in North Male-Maldives was one of my memorable and extravagant travel experiences.
