The Fix: Worth the Watch?
For someone with an science and health background,I sure am a fan of medical movies. Today , I decided to take time out of my busy schedule to see a movie which was recommended to me by a friend. So now,let’s dive in because why not?
THE PLOT
In a world where the human race is struggling with toxic air and its effects on human health, a health conscious company decides to come out to save the human race with their synthesized drug, but only the elite and a selected few get to have this drug?
Why because it’s very expensive. Ella, a young model gets a gig, thanks to her late mom to model for this company to advertise their drugs. But she finds out her best friend is going out with her supposed boyfriend and in the heat of the moment, she ends up taking in a stolen synthesized drug which changes her genetic makeup.
In her quest to save herself from death and whatever may happen due to the effects of the drug. She finds out the mutations in her genetic make up can be the key to saving humanity. Will she be the hero everyone is waiting for or not?
MY THOUGHTS AND RATING
Personally, I love how the producers were able to mix action with science. It’s not that easy to come up with a show this good and I’d like to give them their flowers for a job well done.
This movie actually talks about what could possibly happen to the world in the future given the changes we are currently going through. With climate change and many more changes happening in our world today, no one knows what could hit us. And are we even prepared for any such thing?
I’d give this show an 8/10 because I wasn’t kept in a suspense even though I enjoyed it. It’s a good one and it’s really worth seeing if you have some time to spare. Enjoy !
That's the problem especially in a society that favours only the big people who can afford expensive things. Why make a drug so expensive when it comes to saving lives and humanity? Just as it's in movies, it's something happening in our world.
