A breathe of fresh air - Fujii Kaze - Love Like this

Ever since this song was released this month, there hasn't been a day that I don't listen to it. I swear it's the song of the year for me!

I’ve listened to "michi te yuku," "yasashisa," and "cho si noccha te" non-stop this year as well, but "Love Like This" has topped them all, haha! It’s a breath of fresh air, and I’m so proud of Kaze for producing his English song. He made a documentary about his journey living in LA to make music, and I saw how hard he struggled to compose a song in English. Call it overacting, but that documentary brought me to tears out of happiness for Kaze, because he has come such a long way. I remember when he performed for small audiences, and now he shines brightly alongside famous artists globally.

Every time I listen to his song, I find myself stopping to reflect on how I can love Kaze and so many of his songs, like almost all of the tracks he has produced. I never imagined I would turn on notifications just to receive real-time updates about new album releases! It’s incredible, and Kaze's songs never feel overplayed, no matter how often I listen to them.

I’m also really into Yoasobi, who has me captivated by all their songs, but they don’t push me to put in the same effort that Kaze does. This isn’t to throw any hate towards Yoasobi tho, in fact, they were my number one in 2021. I listened to all of their songs almost every day, and I don’t doubt that I have memorized most of their songs! but Kaze slipped into my heart and hasn’t left since, which pushed Yoasobi to my second favorite.

Speaking of Yoasobi, I still hope they do an Asia tour that includes the Philippines. I’ll be there; I need to witness the band that comforted me back in 2021! And of course, I wish for Kaze to return to the Philippines to hold a concert again so he can sing "Love Like This" live. I feel like I would cry hearing it in person! It's not because of the same pain I felt when I listened to "Mo-eh-wa" back in 2022, but "Love Like This" represents the ending of a painful past and a breakthrough to a new beginning in my life this year. Do you understand what I mean?

also it's almost september and the prema album of kaze will be released, I can't wait to listen to the other english songs our kaze composed. curious if the other songs can top love like this in my heart this year.

When I listened to "Love Like This," I couldn't help but notice the melody of "Lonely Rhapsody" in it. Listening to Kaze's songs made me notice these small details.
