[Retro review] [Eng | Esp] A Clockwork Orange
Welcome my dear internet travelers and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, it has spent some time since my last publication but I was remodeling the kitchen so I had no time or desire to make a publication, leaving aside things that do not care about 95% of the people we go with what concerns us, as there will be films that are considered some cult and today we gather the film "A Clockwork Orange" something iconic by the legendary Kubrick. Without more to add prepare to be complete wild because we are about to start.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, ha pasado un tiempo desde mi última publicación pero estaba remodelando la cocina por lo que no tenía nada de tiempo ni ganas de hacer una publicación, dejando de lado cosas que no le importa al 95% de la gente vamos con lo que nos atañe, como sabrán hay películas que se consideran algo de culto y hoy nos reúne el filme "A Clockwork Orange" algo icónico por parte del legendario Kubrick. Sin más que añadir prepárense para ser unos completos salvajes pues estamos por comenzar.
A Clockwork Orange was released in 1971, is based on the homonymous novel published in 1962 and written by Anthony Burgess, was directed by Stanley Kubrick, produced by Polaris Productions and Hawk Films, has a duration of 2 hours and 16 minutes. It is a science fiction and black humor film, the story focuses on a young offender named Alex Delarge which is an addict of ultraviolence, sex and Beethoven, his fellow misdeeds are the "druges" of which he is a leader and shares his passion for illegalities. Our unpleasant protagonist will fall into the hands of the police during one of its criminal activities, however, in order to leave before jail, undergo an experiment to stop being violent, this being the beginning of all its misadventures.
A Clockwork Orange fue estrenada en 1971, se encuentra basada en la novela homónima publicada en 1962 y escrita por Anthony Burgess, fue dirigida por Stanley Kubrick, producida por Polaris Productions y Hawk Films, cuenta con una duración de 2 horas y 16 minutos. Es un filme de ciencia ficción y humor negro, la historia se centra en un joven delincuente llamado Alex DeLarge el cual es un adicto a la ultraviolencia, el sexo y a Beethoven, sus compañeros de fechorías son los "drugos" de los cuales es líder y comparte su pasión por las ilegalidades. Nuestro desagradable protagonista caerá en manos de la policía durante una de sus actividades criminales, sin embargo, con tal de salir antes de la cárcel, se somete a un experimento para dejar de ser violento, siendo este el principio de todas sus desventuras.

The soundtrack is fine in general, it gives a very curious contrast because it mostly poses extremely beautiful instrumental music that generates a strange environment when mixed with the moments of violence and torture, this being the intention of the film, so it ends up being a success.
La banda sonora está bien en líneas generales, la misma da un contraste muy curioso debido a que mayormente plantea música instrumental sumamente hermosa que genera un ambiente extraño cuando se mezcla con los momentos de violencia y tortura, siendo esta la intención del filme, por lo que termina siendo un acierto.
The construction of the world is captivating, from the Vamos a context is raised in which violence, apathy for peers and debauchery are located at the age of day, in turn, the scenography is full of gray and opaque tones that seek to reaffirm the concept that the society raised in this work is irremediably broken and rotten to the center. This section plays a crucial role at the narrative level because the reactions of this context are molding the narrative in a certain way, in addition, through this a titanic difficulty is established for trying to correct the social disaster that is exposed in the work, being that the options that are have are not the best morally speaking (an interesting reflection of our current society).
La construcción de mundo resulta atrapante, desde el vamos se plantea un contexto en el cual la violencia, la apatía por los pares y el desenfreno se encuentran a la orden del día, a su vez, la escenografía se encuentra repleta de tonos grises y opacos que buscan reafirmar el concepto de que la sociedad planteada en esta obra se encuentra irremediablemente rota y podrida hasta el centro. Este apartado juega un papel crucial a nivel narrativo debido a que las reacciones de este contexto van moldeando la narrativa de cierta forma, además, mediante esto se establece una dificultad titánica por tratar de corregir el desastre social que se expone en la obra, siendo que las opciones que se tienen no son las mejores moralmente hablando (Un reflejo interesante de nuestra sociedad actual).
The plot is quite repulsive and interesting in equal parts, the same shows scenes that manage to generate discomfort through scenes of violence and/or abuse. Narratively, the above is the product that it knows how to build situations that reflect the focus of the film, in such a way that violence and debauchery always serve as main actors, however, the film also seeks to raise an interesting moral situation: to what extent do criminals should be punished? While it is not an issue in which it is too much, it is still curious; Similarly, it has quite curious turns that keep it interesting its 2 hours.
La trama es bastante repulsiva e interesante a partes iguales, la misma muestra escenas que consiguen generar incomodidad mediante escenas de violencia y/o abuso. Narrativamente es atrapante, lo anterior es producto de que sabe construir de buena forma situaciones que reflejen el foco del filme, de tal forma en que la violencia y el desenfreno siempre funjan como actores principales, no obstante, la cinta también busca plantear una situación moral interesante: ¿Hasta qué punto los criminales deben ser castigados? Si bien no es un tema en que se ahonde demasiado, sigue resultando curioso; de igual forma, tiene giros bastante curiosos que la mantienen interesantes sus 2 horas de duración.

That applies here perfectly. While the complexity of the protagonist is nothing special, what is very interested is how you can feel hurt when you see it touch background, this being something that the rest of the characters express it and that reaches the spectator, something that is wonderful. There are other characters that have some interesting actions within the film, although being sincere they only feel as a complement to the protagonist for what to take them into account individually does not make them so remarkable.
El protagonista es el que para bien o para mal se roba el show, la construcción que este posee es la de un completo psicópata, y, desde el vamos la cinta se encarga de que el espectador sienta asco y repudio tanto por él como por sus camaradas, sin embargo, lo curioso viene con el desarrollo que va obteniendo a lo largo de la cinta; lo anterior se debe a que es un personaje que es forzado a cambiar, no obstante, pese a ello todo el resto de personas a las que dañó de una u otra forma seguían teniendo un profundo desprecio por el mismo siendo algo que cambia única y exclusivamente cuando sienten lástima por la situación tan deplorable a la que llega ¿Han escuchado el dicho "es algo que no le desearía ni a mi peor enemigo"? Eso se aplica aquí de forma perfecta. Si bien la complejidad del protagonista no es nada especial, lo que si resulta muy interesan es como se puede llegar a sentir lastima al verlo tocar fondo, siendo esto algo que lo expresan el resto de personajes y que llega hasta el espectador, algo que es maravilloso. Existen otros personajes que tienen algunas acciones interesantes dentro de la cinta, aunque siendo sinceros las mismas solo se sienten como un complemento para el protagonista por lo que tomarlos en cuenta de forma individual no los hace tan destacables.
A Clockwork Orange is a striking film, one could say that to some extent it is a roller coaster of emotions because you can feel the maximum contempt for a character and the next to give you pity for its situation, its most interesting point is that it does not victimize the protagonist because everything that happens to him was something sought, the rest of the sections is also interesting and causes that the tape never feels bored. It is for all the above that 4.5 stars of 7 deserve, it is an interesting experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to see a film that makes him question a moral issue, in this case, how much should a criminal be punished?
A Clockwork Orange es un filme llamativo, se podría decir que hasta cierto punto es una montaña rusa de emociones debido a que puedes sentir el máximo desprecio por un personaje y al siguiente darte lástima por su situación, su punto más interesante es que no victimiza al protagonista debido a que todo lo que le sucede fue algo buscado, el resto de apartados también resulta interesante y provoca que la cinta nunca se sienta aburrida. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4.5 estrellas de 7, es una experiencia interesante que recomiendo a cualquier persona que quiera ver un filme que le haga cuestionarse un tema moral, en este caso ¿Qué tanto debe ser castigado un criminal?

well this is going back an awful long ways :) While I did find the storytelling to be pretty fantastic and the fact that it was very risque given the time period in which it was released, I don't necessarily consider it to be legendary. It is an unusual film with huge amount of violence in it, which was heavily censored at the time but has become just the norm by today's standards. It's worth a watch for sure.
Vi éste filme hace muchos años. Me gustaría volver a mirarlo porque admito que no recuerdo nada jaja Gracias por la reseña. Éste tipo de obras merecen ser mostradas 😉
