very well said. I don't like this ETF stuff at all
Totally agree. ETFs just add extra layers and fees. Owning the real thing feels more direct and in your control.
I have a lot (for me )of the ETF because a large portion of my fiat has been stuck in retirement accounts where BTC can't be bought directly.
I do it though because I figure it will still be better in the long-run than other stocks and ETF's!
Totally get why you'd go with the ETF in that situation. Retirement accounts can be a pain with restrictions. Still think having some actual BTC outside of that could be a solid move if possible down the line
I have some outside also, but my biggest bag is in the retirement.
Gotcha, it makes sense to have the bigger bag in retirement for now. If you can, maybe trickle some into actual BTC over time for that direct control.
Oh I am, but it will be years bfore I can accumulate as much as is in the retirement account.
That retirement account is decades of accumulation converted to BTC ETF just this year. 😜
Totally get that it’ll take time to build up outside the retirement account. Decades of accumulation is no small thing—glad you could convert it to the BTC ETF this year!
Me too! I am up 95% since conversion. One of the best moves I have ever made so far!
