That work is supposed to be unpleasant and that life is supposed to be hard. Following my excitement and understanding myself better has led to way more progress than years and years of hard focused work doing things I didn't want to do.
I’ve noticed the same thing, passion fuels real progress, not just grinding away at things you hate.

That’s a tricky question. There’s definitely a level of discipline that’s required but if you have the right level of passion you kind of push through it automatically without having to motivate yourself.
Like curiosity can lead to to study things that would have been painful to study if you weren’t curious, and trying to make a perfect artwork can lead to you doing a ton of work. But at the moment you are in the zone so it’s all good

That’s a great perspective, when passion and curiosity drive you, discipline almost becomes second nature.
