"My First Earning"

There’s something incredibly special about first earning. To me, it doesn’t really matter if it’s big or small, planned or random. This is because it holds a place in our heart that no salary slip ever can. And if you ask me, I have my answers to that question based on my first earnings. Just read on;

My First Earnings

My pocket money was a milestone during my childhood days. Having pocket money is exciting , because when you have your own money, you can make choices. You can be able to buy a game, save for something bigger, or donate to something you love or care about. So, here's my story. It was christmas time, and as usual, we traveled down to our home town to go spend some time with family and friends.

So, during our stay at the village, I decided to surprise everyone. One morning, I woke up, swept the whole compound, washed plates, and also did other house chores which was meant to be shared between my sisters and I. When everyone woke up, they were so supriesd and happy too on how I literally did everything with no one else's help.

i was just 10 years then. My uncle was so marveled. He couldn't believe what he saw, and how I did it without the help of anyone. Next, he quickly went inside his room, and gifted me with 20,000 naira as my reward for my hard work. I appreciated it so much and was very happy. Back then, 20,000 was a very huge sum of money.

When I got back to base, I gave it to my mum. She used the money to buy me my dream bicycle, and also got some nice clothes and shoes for me. It's indeed a very happy moment to remember.
