Leaving Comfort Behind

The term "Leaving comfort behind" means the act of one to intentionally step outside of his or her familiar routine into new, unfamiliar, and uncomfortable experiences to foster personal growth. It most times involves taking risks, challenges, facing fears, and embracing uncertainty to achieve greater resilience, new skills, and a more expansive view of your capabilities and the world. To me, I feel like I have left my comfort zones which is my family house in the pursuit of a tertiary degree. I got admission this year into Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri to further my education.

When it was time to leave home for school, I felt so sad at that moment. This is because I was going to miss my family and loved ones. But on getting there and facing life, I realized that there's more to it. The school environment will either make you or mare you. It's also an environment whereby if you don't control yourself, you will end up not achieving what you came for.

In school, you will have excess freedom to go anywhere and choose any lifestyle you wish to. I have come to the realization that the comfort i left behind which is my home in pursuit of my degree is something worth very meaningful. There are alots of people who we meet in school, both the serious and unserious ones. There's this guy I met in school, named Eric. he doesn't come to class neither will you see him around school. He was only known for going to parties and clubbing. But I was baffled when it was our day of defense. He came for his defense and when it was his turn to speak, he spoke fluently, bold and very eloquent. He is a very smart and wise guy. The truth is that he has allowed the luxuries of school life to influence him.

So what am I trying to say here is that, as a student you shouldn't let the life you see in school to overwhelm you or take you aside of what you actually came for. Thank you all for reading.. I wish to invite my friends @faithgifty34 @justfavour @favouright to take part in this contest.
