As you all know, am a fashion designer. I love everything that has to do with fashion, and it has really become a part of me. Clothes are needed in our everyday life, this is why fashion can never be outdated. So, I was less busy at shop today, I was thinking of what to recreate here, then boom, I remembered that I promised my little cousin a skirt. So, I decided to make it for her. So, below here are the simple do it yourself steps for a gathers skirt;

Steps On How To Make A Gathers Skirt

Materials Needed;
• Your desired material.
• Scissors.
• Tape.
• Zipper.

Step 1: Firstly, I brought out my material, cut it out straight. Tips about gathers skirt is that you will have to cut it excess, so that by the time you squeeze it, it will return to the person's actual measurements.

Step 2: After cutting it excess, I sew it straight on the tip of the material. The line indicates the gathers line.

Step 3: Next, using my hand I squeeze the material to get her actual waist measurement plus the zipper allowance.

Step 4: Then, I cut out the skirt band using her exact waist measurement. Over to my ironing table to iron inorder to maintain a neat work.

Step 5: After that, I carefully sew in the band on the already gathers part of the skirt.

Step 6: Next, I added my zip on the zipper allowance.

Step 7: Then, I folded the down part of the skirt to ensure neat and accurate work.

Step 8: Lastly, here's the final outcome. I gave to her to wear and this the final product.. Guys, rate my work? How does it look in her?😌
