The stages of success

As I have gained more life experience and viewpoint over the years, my definition of success has surely changed. Success for me at age 20 meant not depending on my parents for money but rather being able to stand on my own two feet. It meant finding a decent career that paid enough to meet my bills and have some side money for leisure activities. It also entailed some degree of autonomy and freedom to make my own decisions.

When I reached my thirties, my concept of success began to center on having rewarding work. I aimed to find not only a well-paying job but also one that made me happy and gave me direction. Even if it was only in my own small manner, I wanted to feel like I was changing the planet. Success for me meant moving up the corporate ladder, receiving accolades for my efforts, and being content with the daily work I was conducting.

My understanding of success had changed once more by the time I arrived in my 40s. I will not longer only about monetary stability or job advancement. It was all about striking equilibrium everywhere work, family, health, personal relationships. Success meant feeling fulfilled and happy after balancing all these facets. It meant taking the time to emphasize mental well-being and self-care instead of merely driving myself to meet career objectives at any expense.

As I near my fifties, my definition of success is beginning to lean toward embracing legacy. It's about creating a good influence on the planet and the people around me. It's about creating a long-lasting legacy that will be commemorated well beyond my passing. Success is having the ability to reflect on my life and be proud of the person I have become and the impact I have made on the world. Living a life of intention and meaning, with an impact on the lifetimes of others, is what this means.

Not only material success but also personal development and fulfillment counts to me right now.
Success, in my opinion, is a path not a place
It's about every time in life finding what really matters to you and constantly changing and developing as a person. I will work to keep these principles at the top of my mind and concentrate on building a life that is satisfying, balanced, and meaningful as I go along my own road to success.
