Weekend Experience: Foolishness, My Worst Experience

It's my first time participating in your weekend prompt, and I hope I'm welcome.

I will be writing on the fourth topic which says: Are you foolish, or have you ever been? Explain.

It's the best topic I've come across today, and I would be glad to share my experience on this.

Earlier this morning, I got up and did all my chores. So immediately after doing my chores, my elder brother returned home.

He was complaining to me that he was very hungry. He looked so tired and worn out.

What he did was that he gave me the sum of one thousand naira, and his ATM card to go to a nearby POS and withdraw the some of twenty thousand naira.

I had to go immediately. So when I arrived at the POS shop, I met the guy there.

I greeted him, and he asked me what I wanted to do, and I told him I wanted to withdraw money. So he asked me the amount I wanted to withdraw, and I said Twenty Thousand naira.

He asked me if I was with the charges and I said I was with one thousand naira. And he told me the charges were two thousand naira.

So I asked him to charge one thousand naira from my brother's account, while I will give him the remaining one thousand naira.

So he continued with the withdrawal process, while I was waiting for him. He withdrew twenty thousand naira for me, and I thanked him.

While I was still there, I saw my old school friend and I went to meet her. I foolishly left my brother's ATM card there.

I didn't realize something stupid had occurred, so I moved straight to my brother's house. Immediately I arrived home, my brother told me he had an alert on his phone.

And the alert reflects that two thousand naira was charged from his account. And I told him that I asked the guy to charge one thousand naira from his account, while I gave him the remaining money.

He asked me to give him back his ATM card. But I realized I left it there. So I told him I forgot it there. He asked me to take him there.

I took him there, and on getting there, we realized someone had taken it home.

Honestly, I couldn't eat anything since morning. I never thought I could be a victim of this circumstance.

That was so foolish of me. At my age, I'm supposed to act wisely and not otherwise.

I felt embarrassed, because the guy denied he didn't see any ATM card.

This is my weekend experience, and it was a terrible one. I can't imagine losing two things at the same time, because of my foolishness..
