The Help Of God

Greetings all, welcome to my blog.

This morning, I want to speak on the topic, the help of God. God is indeed our helper, and aside from him, no other person can help us.

I will be reading from the book of Acts chapter 26:22. I will be using the King James version, and it says, Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come.

Man, in the actual sense, is not capable of helping his fellow man. Because people think they can be helped by other humans.

No man can help you overcome that obstacles, it's only God that can do that.

There's one thing I want to let you know about man. We all know who man is, and what he could do. If you see your fellow man being kind to another, that doesn't mean he's helping.

It simply means he's assisting the person to become better in life. Why is it that when man chooses to assist, sometimes it comes with a condition? And sometimes, he couldn't assist to the end.

This should serve as an indication that man can't help you, he can only assist you. There are certain things man is limited to, and this is one of them.

Do not carry God's work to man because man himself, is looking for help.

God alone is our helper. He doesn't help everyone. He helped those who reached out to him concerning their problems.

While I was still growing up, I discovered something great about man and God in terms of help. I grew up in a family where my Uncles and their wives loved their family, and neglected their siblings.

I used to think that once a single child has made it in life, he or she could at least lend a helping hand to others.

I have an uncle, and he has a wife with six children, but none were staying with them. So one day, my dad had a little challenge, so he went to them to seek help, but do you know what the wife said?

She said she's only extending her wealth to her family alone, that is, herself, her husband, and her children. She said a lot of things to my dad.

So when my dad returned, I asked him how it went, and he told me what my uncle's wife said to him. I was shocked because I didn't expect that from her either.

At a point, I began to reflect on what just happened, and I realized that indeed man can't help his fellow man, aside from God.

That was when I had a full understanding of what help is, and who I should run to whenever I'm helpless.

Jesus alone is the answer for the world today. Never go about with the mindset that your friend will help you achieve something tangible in life.

If he managed to assist you, he might leave you halfway to do it yourself. But God has never in his life left us halfway, nor has he forgotten about us.

There are certain things I want you to know about the help of God.

Until you're helped by God, man can't help you.
Build your life on fulfilments and not promises. Isaiah 41: 10
Life determines who is with you.
Hate sin, so that God can help you.
Learn to observe God's commandments if you need his help.
