My Weekend Experiences: The Hen, And Her Motherhood Virtues
Greetings family, it's good to have you here again. I welcome you all to my blog.
Before I share my today's experience, I would love to say a very big thank you to all the curators in the weekend experiences community.
I'm grateful for your support, may God bless you all.
This morning, I want to share my experience. I woke up this morning very happy because the Lord has been so good to me. Most especially the life I'm living.
I saw something that captured my attention earlier today. I saw a hen with her beautiful chickens. I've been seeing them for the past month, but I never saw the unique side of them.
So today, I decided to take a glance at them, and I realized how beautiful they were.
One of the striking things about the hen is that she took the small food she would have eaten and gave it to her chickens.
It baffles me, and I couldn't move an inch. But then a thought came into my mind. A question was dropped in my heart.
The question was, if a hen could take care of her chickens, how much more about God, and our earthly parents?
I love what I saw, and I promised to do the same for my children. It shows how brave, loving, caring, and protective the hen was.
She has indeed proven to me what she was made of, and how sweet she was.
This has taught me a lot. I don't think I will forget this particular experience. This is what some parents couldn't do for their children.
They prefer sending them away to hustle on their own, even when they're not up to the age of caring for themselves.
Aside from caring for her chickens, she fought the vulture and other animals that came to devour her chickens.
That's how humans ought to be. Humans ought to protect their offspring and not release them to the devourers.
If I fail to add this to my today's experience, it wouldn't be complete. Earlier this morning, I went to dispose of the water I used in washing the plates.
So as I was going, I saw this hen and her chickens. I saw them, but they were far away. So I went straight to where I was supposed to dispose of the water, and I disposed of it.
So, on my way back to my kitchen, this hen pursued me, and I ran away with all my strength. I nearly threw away the rubber I was holding because I was so afraid. But I'm glad she didn't reach where I was.
So I was forced to ask an elderly woman a question about why she wanted to hurt me, and she told me the hen thought I wanted to harm her chickens, and I said What!
Conclusion, this experience has made my day, and I hope it has made yours too.
Thank you for your time.
