Investment Comes Before Profit
Greetings members of the Be Entrepreneur community. I welcome you all to my blog.
This morning I want to share my view with you on what I title Investment before profit. It's going to be an interesting one, and I solicit you to read it till the end.
What is investment?
According to the Oxford Advance Learner's Dictionary, the word investment refers to a placement of capital in expectation of deriving income or profit from its use or appreciation.
What is profit?
According to the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, the word profit means the money or benefits a non-governmental organization or individual receives in exchange for products and services sold at advertised prices.
This is exactly what every entrepreneur or upcoming entrepreneur should be aware of.
Sometimes people see investment as a waste of money.
They develop this fear that until they see another person excelling in that business, they can never invest in such a business.
But I tell you today, that what you're going through right now is not the kind of mindset any entrepreneur should have.
That means if the person doesn't excel in the business you will remain idle. As a good entrepreneur, you must view things beyond what other people are seeing.
Your level of understanding must differ from any other person's own.
Always try as much as possible to invest your money in a good business.
But first, you must know the kind of business it is and how it works before you do that. But always know that investment comes before profit.
It is pertinent to note that without investment, there's no profit. Yes, it's true and I mean it. How would profit come when you didn't invest?
All entrepreneurs around the globe must learn how to invest. Stop looking at the profit first. Just give it a try, and take a bold step to your success as an entrepreneur.
You know, there are some businesses that you can do for over a month without profit. So, such businesses require concentrated effort, stability, and determination for things to work out the way you want.
Invest before you think of the reward. Take, for instance, a family where there are two children, one of them doesn't run an errand for his parents, and the other does.
You will see that each time the parents buy a gift, they give it to the one that loves running errands for them, rather than the other one.
The gift serves as a reward for always helping the parents.
So the same applies to investment. You must suffer a little, sleep a little, and invest much to have a bigger or greater reward.
In conclusion, Investment comes before profit. Invest, and then the profit will come.
