Chisom And The Monster

It was on a beautiful Tuesday, and everywhere was cloudy. Chisom and his two sisters, Mary and Abigail, were sitting outside their home.

They were having a serious conversation amongst themselves. It was about their careers in life. Mary, being the first daughter said she wants to become a Medical Doctor.

Abigail on the other hand, said she wants to become a Teacher. And Chisom being the first son, said he wants to become a monster hunter.

When his parents heard what Chisom said, they quickly rushed to where they were and pleaded with him not to say that. He boldly declared his intentions.

He told his parents that's what he has a passion for, but they didn't agree with him.

As years went by, Mary and Abigail finally found their ways into their professions, and they graduated as the best students in their class. It was a great honor for their parents.

Chisom was always found in the forest. When he realized his sisters had made it, he decided to leave the house to start his career.

But on his way to the forest, he met an old man who happened to be a great hunter. The man asked him where he was heading to and he told him he was heading to the forest.

The great hunter warned him. He pleaded with him to go back home, but he insisted. He ended up insulting him.

The great hunter was angry; he told him that a day would come when he would recall his words. Immediately he said that, he left him.

Chisom continued his journey but it wasn't easy for him. He sustained a lot of injuries to his leg. Fortunately for him, he made his way to the forest.

He was so weak because of his wound, so he had to lean against a tree, bring out some herbs, and apply them to those wounds.

After treating his wounds, he turned his face and saw the skull of a human being. A thought rushed into his mind. What if you don't succeed in what you came here for?

He didn't pay attention to the voice. He said to himself that nothing would happen to him. It wasn't so long, he fell into a deep sleep, hoping to get up and kill any monster he would see.

Unfortunately for him, while he was deep asleep, the monster came and tore him apart. He shouted at the top of his voice for help, but no one was there to help him.

At that point, he recalled what the great hunter said, but it was already late.

The following day was Saturday, the great hunter went back to check his trap, and he found out that he hadn't caught any animal.

As he was about to leave, he saw Chisom's corpse lying on the floor. He wept bitterly because if he had listened to him, he wouldn't have died.

Thank you so much for reading my story.

Lol, okay... that was an ending I did not see coming, but I like the surprise. Well... chisom should have listened, so many people would not warned him against the thing if it was something good. Falling asleep in a place where monsters lives was a bad idea on his part. He would just make his parents cry over losing an only son, just after they celebrated the success of their two daughter. I loved reading this. Great storytelling
