A Book Review On: Your Desire Follows Your Attention

Hello, greetings members of the Hive book club community. I feel honored to have you here in this space. You're all welcome to my blog.

It's been a while since I posted in this community, so I thought it was time to do so now. I want you to go through this post because it would be of benefit to you. And not to your physical body alone, but also to your soul and spirit.

I want to share a book with you, and what I learnt. Last time, I shared a particular book with everyone, so today, I will also share a topic that has blessed my life with you, still from the same book that was titled "One Word from God can change your life".

The topic is Your desire follows your attention. If I may ask, how does this topic sound in your ears? Does it make sense to you?

I feel it does because it's something you've been encountering every day. The writer of this very topic, Kenneth Copeland explains this better in a biblical way.

You know, sometimes we think our attention follows our desires, right? I was also thinking the same way, not until I read this topic.

According to him, our desires follow our attentions, and not otherwise. This means whenever there's a desire, there must always be attention. It wouldn't be complete if there were a desire without attention.

He said that as Christians, our desire is what drives us to crave more to know God for ourselves. And without the desire, we won't have the zeal to pay attention to the word of God, let alone pay attention to prayers.

He said we as Christians must desire to know more about God, and not just that, we should learn to desire him by giving him half of our time, not all. It's not possible to give God all your time, but you can give him half of it.

Some Christians' attention has been drawn to something irrelevant. Some Christians have become so blind that they don't know what they should focus their attentions on.

Remember! What you focus your attention on, has the right to influence you either positively or negatively. So the writer of this topic admonishes all Christians to make sure that they desire the right thing.

And also, they should be sure that whatever they desire must always be followed by their attention.

I felt a bit relieved when I finished reading that topic. To me, the message was for me. It was trying to make me see the better side of me. And also, it motivated me to start desiring things that are relevant, and not to desire irrelevant things.

Before I read that chapter, I knew my attention was far away from God. I focused my attention on mundane things, and not things that profit the spirit.

So I've learned to focus my attention on God, and also try as much as possible to always give him half of my time daily. And by so doing, I would get to know what God desires from me, and what he wants me to focus my attention on.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Stay safe, and be blessed.

I remain your favorite girl @joyben.
