TELEPHONE CARD COLLECTION 6: “PORCIÚNCULA” (EN/PT)

In 2000, a collection of four telephone cards was launched to honor the city of Porciúncula, RJ. At the time, the highlight of the puzzle that made up the collection was the city's Cultural Center, named “Dr. Edésio Barbosa da Silva”. The image shows the city's main landmarks.
1 – Handicrafts: a legitimate cultural expression of the city, a culture that rescues the past and keeps traditions alive. At the Porciúncula Handicraft House, there are pieces that transcend the passing of years, unique items that characterize the city's history, a place driven by culture. Most of the raw materials used in the items are associated with natural items such as fibers, woods, and seeds from the region itself. Handcrafted works that exalt the power of nature.
2 – Elephantine Rock: highlighted in the background of the image are the beautiful mountainous landscapes of the region, an ideal location for adventurers who enjoy sports such as hiking, rappelling, and mountaineering. An area with unique vegetation, capable of enchanting everyone while experiencing nature. Elephantine Rock is 992 meters high, a challenge rewarded with a marvelous view from the top. A gigantic lake amidst the mountainous landscapes, a true delight for the eyes.
3 – The Bus Station: observing the entrance to the Cultural Center, we see a rather exotic entrance. This is because it was inaugurated in the city's old train station building, considered its main landmark. Inside, it houses several key areas such as the Municipal Library, the Social Memory Service, the Porciúncula Newspaper, and the famous House of the Artisan, a place full of knowledge and culture.
The print run of each card in the collection is 200,000 units; it's one of the few puzzle-format collections where no card has a lower print run than the others. The market price per unit is low; however, a complete collection is between R$25 and R$50.
It's worth noting that much of the information cited is from the time the cards were created. Currently, there is a greater diversity of cultural activities in the city of Porciúncula.

Em 2000, foi lançada uma coleção de quatro cartões telefônicos em homenagem à cidade de Porciúncula, RJ. Na época, o destaque da coleção era o Centro Cultural da cidade, batizado de “Dr. Edésio Barbosa da Silva”. A imagem mostra os principais pontos turísticos da cidade.
1 – Artesanato: uma legítima expressão cultural da cidade, uma cultura que resgata o passado e mantém vivas as tradições. Na Casa do Artesanato de Porciúncula, encontram-se peças que transcendem o tempo, itens únicos que caracterizam a história da cidade, um lugar movido pela cultura. A maioria das matérias-primas utilizadas nas peças são elementos naturais, como fibras, madeiras e sementes da própria região. Obras artesanais que exaltam o poder da natureza.
2 – Rocha Elefantina: em destaque ao fundo da imagem, estão as belas paisagens montanhosas da região, um local ideal para aventureiros que apreciam esportes como caminhadas, rapel e montanhismo. Uma área com vegetação singular, capaz de encantar a todos enquanto desfrutam da natureza. A Pedra Elefantina tem 992 metros de altura, um desafio recompensado com uma vista maravilhosa do topo. Um lago gigantesco em meio às paisagens montanhosas, um verdadeiro deleite para os olhos.
3 – A Rodoviária: observando a entrada do Centro Cultural, vemos uma entrada bastante exótica. Isso porque foi inaugurada no antigo prédio da estação ferroviária da cidade, considerado seu principal ponto de referência. Em seu interior, abriga diversos espaços importantes, como a Biblioteca Municipal, o Serviço de Memória Social, o jornal Porciúncula e a famosa Casa do Artesão, um lugar repleto de conhecimento e cultura.
A tiragem de cada carta da coleção é de 200.000 unidades; é uma das poucas coleções em formato de quebra-cabeça em que nenhuma carta tem tiragem menor que as outras. O preço de mercado por unidade é baixo; no entanto, uma coleção completa custa entre R$ 25 e R$ 50.
Vale ressaltar que grande parte das informações citadas são da época em que os cartões foram criados. Atualmente, há uma maior diversidade de atividades culturais na cidade de Porciúncula.
