Today’s Sunday Sermon//The Heart of Man

Hello Hive Fam and the amazing hive-reachout community. It’s another Sunday where worshippers of the Christian faith gather together to worship God and to hear from his word. I’m still remain @joshel and today I will be sharing with you little about today’s sermon which is tagged The Heart of Man. ........

The heart as we all know is a very vital organ of the body. I see it as the engine of the body responsible for moving blood to and fro at various parts of the body. But beyond its physical use, the heart is the central organ where various issues of life come from. It is very difficult for one to predict what is in another person’s heart. From the reference text above, it says the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

No one can understand and be able to predict what is on someone’s mind except He who created it, and that is why you can be with a friend now, both of you will chat, laugh, share secrets and support each other but later that same friend of your will go at your back and talk against you with someone else.

I stepped out one day to get something from one of the shops around and as I was going, I overheard two women talking and gossiping another woman, saying all kinds of negative words against her but later that evening, I saw one of those women who was gossiping and speaking evil with the same woman they were gossiping about. This woman was discussing, laughing and even reporting that same woman she was gossiping with initial say “look at what this person was saying about you, I came to tell you because you are my friend so be careful” and in my mind I was like who need to be careful with who now? So this woman is your friend and you were busy gossiping and saying all kinds of negative word about her to someone else. How terrible the heart of man can be?

Whatever good a person does in life comes from the heart and whatever evil a person does come also from the heart. A person doesn’t act just like that or portrait certain characters without conceiving it first in his/her heart and that is why Proverb 4:23 says “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it”. We need to watch and examine our heart diligently because every issues of this life good or bad flows from the heart. Let’s be careful with the kind of thought that crosses our heart and screen out the bad thoughts. As humans we are created with the will power to make decisions on our own and we have control over our mind. Let good comes out of our heart..
