Love & Relationship//Looking beyond the Container

What I’m about to share might not be a new thing to us and probably we might have heard it countless times in our life. But I will like to share more on it.

We live in a world where many people put more of their attention on the physical looks and appearance of people rather than the character, attitude and behaviour of people. Many people put their focus more on the heights of a person, the skin colour, the body shape, the facial appearance and fail to understand that love and relationship is beyond what the physical eyes can see. Yes, no doubt that the physical appearance of a person is important but it does not really show who actually a person is. The character, behaviour and the attitude of a person will give you a better insight and understanding of who that person is.

You may choose to go for the physical appearance and what the eyes see like beauty, the shape and curves, the chest and behind, is fine, that’s your choice but as time goes by, changes will occur and those physical qualities that you were once attracted to will fade. If you are attracted to someone base on their physical looks, what will happen if those things that attracted you physical disappears and is no more there, will you still be attracted to such a person again. Physical appearance may attract, but it is the character that a person possess that will keep the relationship going stronger.

A good character can lead to an inner beauty which will shine even more brighter than the physical looks of a person.

The truth of the matter is, no one will ever remain young, live in the flower age or remain physically attractive forever. ask our parents who are aged now, they will tell you the truth. As time passes, people grow old, changes begin to take place physically, their hair will change colour, wrinkles will start appearing, the strength will not be there again, the shapes and curves might not be attractive anymore, at that point in life what will keep the love, relationship and even the family going is the character of that person, the respect, honesty, truth, loyalty, kindness etc.

A person may be attracted to all the physical qualities of a person but if the character is lacking, that relationship may not work. Is just like seeing one of the most beautiful and attractive car in the world where everybody might want to have it but if the engine and other inner component of the car isn’t functioning properly, people might not want to buy it why because they can’t use it even if the car is beautiful and attractive.

Some persons might look so beautiful and attractive on the outside but have a bad character inside of them. Choosing people base on their physical looks might even lead to abuse in relationship where you might see people showing their rude, disrespectful, disloyal self.
People who possess good character are more reliable, take for instance a person who is honest with you will not lie or deceive you, a person who is generous will not be selfish to you, a person who is respectful will not disrespect you, a person who is kind will not be cruel with you, a person who possess loyalty will not be disloyal to you, a person who is responsible will be counted on to do the right things.

Good character build a healthy and long lasting relationship compared to the physical attraction that may lead to toxic and abusive relationship that may not even last. In as much as physical appearance is good, it shouldn’t be major criteria for one to jump into love and relationship. What should attract most in life is the character, behaviour and attitude a person possess rather than the looks. Peace to everyone.
