A Life of Legacy and Positive Impact

I remember some time ago, someone asked me this same question, how do I want to be remembered after I've lived this world and that question hits me hard inside and it makes think and reflect on my life. Some people died many years ago but the world celebrate them today for the positive impact they left behind while others died and all the world could remember them for is pain. In my own case, what do I want to be remembered for when I'm gone?

I want to be remembered for the positive impact I made during my existence. The impact I have on people's lives. I want to be remembered as someone who noticed people need, listened to them and someone who is ready to help. I want to be remembered for those moments when someone’s life changes because of something I did or said. I want to be remembered as someone who was present in people’s lives, someone who noticed and cared.

I want people to remember me for my good deeds, for stepping in to people's lives when there is a problem. I want my life to matter, not just to me, but to the people I meet every day. I want to leave a lasting mark on people in a way that shows I used my time well. I want people to remember that I made a difference, even if it was just in small ways that touched their lives. I want my character to stand out in people’s minds.

I want to live a lasting legacy. I want to live behind something that will keeps working after I'm gone from this world. It’s like planting a tree I’ll never sit under, but others will enjoy its shade for years. I want to live with a sense of purpose, knowing that what I do today can shape tomorrow for others. Not only by the wealth or possessions I have, but by the values and influence I leaved behind. The reality is, material things will eventually fade, but the effect of a good life can reach far beyond my years. I want to live a life that even when my name is no longer spoken, the results of my actions still remain.

And above all, I want to live a life that draws people closer to God. A life just as the apostles that I lived like Christ. A life that will make people remember and said I lived a glorious, impactful, spirit filled life. I want people to have a general picture of someone who did good, had a positive attitude, treated people well, and tried to make life better for others.
