...The Business & Health End Of Feeding
Food is one of the things I invest in, and this is because there's absolutely no loss with investing rightly in the things you eat. I haven't really been a careless eater, maybe when I was younger, but I became intentional about what I feed on when I clocked 28. This included the reduction of soda. One of the things I increased feeding on was meat. I loved them fried and roasted, any form of meat, and I remembered spending some decent figure when I had the opportunity to eat out.
Of course, I was misinformed that eating meat was nutritious, and I began to consume it in crazy volumes. This is synonymous with a lot of Nigeria; 40% food, 60% meat, it was the definition of good living, but the truth is that having perfect health often counters careless eating in a lot of people. For some with a blood disorder, I didn't really take care of myself as a younger person, but I had some bouts and periods of relatively good health.
As an adult, I felt if my parents were probably intentional about my state of health, some of the health issues I have might have been properly managed, this is one thing with not being 100% healthy, you cannot live a reckless life, eat poorly, live poorly and still be 100%. I know people who eat the craziest of food, smoke, and drink heavily, yet their health is perfect. I remembered one time I had an alcohol episode, just one, it felt like I needed to go to the ER and I'm certain that if I had continued, I might have probably degenerated health-wise.
It's the consequence of not having a top-notch immune system. There's indeed a level of recklessness the body can take, but some people are just naturally stronger..... healthier, no matter how they abuse their bodies. I have lived with people who heavily invested in smoking, but their cardiovascular health was 100% it's just like one cannot truly understand health. Sometimes being at risk is not a measure of what might truly happen to a person. I know people who think that more meat, equals more vitamins and protein, neglecting other varieties.
As an older adult, I began to stay away from Soda, it was fun having endless bouts, and I still don't know how I managed to escape diabetes, but I think I attribute that to featal immunity. This is what I call the ability to strain the body in its youthful stage. Health complications are a bummer. Sometimes, your diet is completely changed and you eat like you cannot afford your next meal, why? Because you're trying to establish a feeding minimalism for the betterment of your health condition.
When I was younger, money was the reason why people couldn't cook or eat the way they wanted, so it's always sad when they now have money and can afford whatever they want, but they cannot eat what they've always wanted. A lot of people still ignore health issues just to eat whatever they want and they go ahead to have preventable health issues. Back in 2020 and 2021, I was in physical great shape.
I started cooking my food and following a designated diet, my aunt was prediabetic, so she strictly followed that diet, and while I hated it, it was beneficial to me. Of course, feeding and eating well, cannot change a genetic disease, and this is why I still ended up having serious health complications no matter how hard I tried. You cannot truly change the body if your condition is default. I still didn't know what really happened with my brother, maybe an underlying health issue, but sometimes, having a perfect body, a great body, might deceive one into thinking they're truly healthy.
At the moment, my diet has completely changed, because I'm trying to to target a decent level of blood sugar. It's crazy because some of these diets are crap and mostly not what you'll enjoy eating on a regular. Some food is good for one condition but bad for the other. For example, I recently bought beetroot powder for my heart health and because of its vasodilating properties, but I realized it had a lot of potassium which might be currently bad for me at the moment, and I had to dump that, and money gone down the drain.

quite right, eating choices define a lot of a person' health and well-being
Yes, it does
I think drinking lots of soda can be bad for your health. I dont drink hardly any now. Mostly I drink water or some water with fruit syrup where I know there is no fructose syrup. Fructose syrup is addictive like crack cocaine, that is why they put it in everything, plus it is cheap.
I didn't realize that about soda when I was younger, I guess it took some seeking and some health conditioning to begin to realize some things can be really bad like soda.
Funny thing is I know so many people heathy who took it in excessive
It is crazy the chemicalisation of our food chain!
It is. I realized that this makes it even difficult to eat healthy
There was a time I did not take good food seriously and I was always drinking soda and eating gala but I realized how too much sugar is bad for my health
Right now, I’m cooking well and making sure that I add veggies in my food coupled with eggs and everything that is nourish-able
Simple stuffs like food become a problem for some of us.
Great content G.
Eating the right food, I mean eating healthy can save one from lots of trouble with hospital visits, health breakdown and the likes, though that's for someone without a default health risk as you said. It's a win-win situation when you eat healthy during the younger age.
What can I say, there's nothing like really being healthy, people use that factor to do whatever they want
Those serial smokers and unhealthy drinkers you know who you think are fine, are actually not. Well not in the long term at least. Their body is just building up the xenobiotics, heading towards multiple organ failures. Because organ failures typically take some time to become apparent, most people living unhealthy lifestyles barely become aware of the consequences of their choices until situations become dire. They’re walking around on a very fast countdown.
Making a conscious effort towards eating healthy is a great step to living a healthy life. You’re doing great, man.
Well, I think there are people who simply underestimate the risks because they think they're very healthy. Like you said, some health issues takes time to become apparent. It's true that in most African countries, people don't stop unless they begin to fall ill.
Eating the right food is a big plus to our health. We should be careful with what we drink and eat. Like you said, most people can eat anything and go away with it, why some can't.
Health disparity is such an unfair thing. There are people who mostly eat right and still don't have good health.
Yeah, I wonder why it is like that... because they say eating right equals good health...or probably they have other health issues that are not caused by unhealthy eating.
It's great to stay away from that soda, not good for you at all. Eating that diabetic diet may not taste great but should help keep that blood sugar down.
How are you holding up today so far? Better than earlier I hope.

Well, I'm just about tired of hospitals and all, I just want to rest. Basically I've changed my eating habit. While it's not bwsn 100% at least I've stopped meat, sugar and reduced salt.
That's what's important! Change what you can and hopefully it will help keep the sickle cell and blood sugars somewhat under control! How are you feeling?

I stopped consuming much meat years ago when the doctor told my dad to cut down on his meat intake. I started eating more of fish. I buy meat mostly for my girls.
I used to like Titus, but the process of washing and cooking it was a bit stressful, but for over 2 weeks now, I've almost had no beef at all.
Titus is sweet.you should eat more of it😁
The diet is definitely important. I find myself not caring as much when I am busy but I can definitely see issues down the road if I don't pay attention. I haven't really drank much soda but I do drink it from time to time. It's a lot less compared to the past though.
Due to my health I simply stooped drinking soda many years ago, I think fow many people who are really healthy, it might not be an issue.
A person should eat well because a person earns money so that his health is good, that is the only way through which a person can maintain good health and a person can lead a good life. This food looks so tasty.
