Another splinterlands Season
Last season was very good for me, and that's because I earned more SPS as a result of getting some great winning streak. Some days I just get beaten like a trespassing goat, and I incur some crazy losing streak, but on some days, I manage to outperform myself and get some great streak, this increase my SPS and Glint reward per game and all that.
So the last season was the first time where I came close to getting 60k Glints rewards it hasn't happened like that before and at the end I settled for 58.5k Glint. Not bad.
I was even surprised at how much SPS increase you can get per game by winning 6 to 10 games in a row; it is a fantastic way to earn SPS, but the opponents out there can become more challenging. Losing the same number of battles results in a significant drop in SPS earnings.
New opponents, new strategies
I faced a lot of good opponents who clearly had better cards than me, as well as some opponents who had better cards, and some of them beat me with some really good strategy, while others came up with their own strategy and won some incredible games.
The Dopamine effect is pleasant, but the SPS increase caused by the streak is usually even more enjoyable.
So I went shopping again, and now most of my cards are looking good.
EPIC set is looking good
Except khazi
I captured a separate screenshot of my GF EPICs. I feel like burning some of them because they are duplicates and I do not play survival mode, but I do not want to make any rash decisions. I received about seven copies of Epic and one GF Halfing refugee.
I already have a standard foil at level three. However, because some of my CL summoners are still level 2, it automatically deploys the GF Halving refugee, allowing me to earn more SPS by fielding a GF.
So, given that I have no plans to upgrade my CL summoners, it may be best to leave my Halfing refugee alone.
As for the other GF epics, I might just burn them later, I don't know yet, but I want to leave them, who knows I might get more copies in the coming weeks, the upgrade them and then burn the standard foil. However I don't earn a lot of Glints, if I did, I'd have probably targeted more epic cards while burning the standard foils.
My rare cards are almost maxed out.
Some of them are already at level 7 and will be maxed out in a few weeks, but I will need to deploy more Glints tomorrow rare packs to max them all out.
Perhaps I will try this experiment when the season ends: shop for only rare and EPICs, max out my rare set, and then focus on the common once I have finished with the rare. The only problem is that the majority of my commons are also at level 7, and I need to get them to level 10 to max them out.
They are already looking good, but maxing them out means I will gain new abilities for the majority of them at level 10. However, because rare sets are the most undervalued and valuable, it makes sense to focus on them. However, I will have to check the next abilities they will gain at max level.
The final set is common.
I'm not completely crazy about this set and this is because they don't really hit it for me. However, they are necessary, and you require common cards because they can be extremely effective at levels 8, 9, and 10.
I still have the majority of mine at level 7, and there is not enough Glint to raise them to max level. However I reckon there's still going to be about 2 to 3 months before the next reward cards will be rolled out.
So far, I've started this season strongly. Most of these cards upgrades also helps me to have stronger rewards cards to help and support my Guild. The SPS from my Guild is instrumental for me, so I want to also grow my reward cards for the sake of my Guild games.

Those are some nice upgrades. Are you considering working on the legendary cards? I think that one would probably cost quite a bit. I haven't had as much time to play Splinterlands, but I should be playing more before Chaos Legion is removed at the end of this season.
Yeah, perhaps you should consider playing more games in modern so as to earn some decent SPS before it's all removed. I don't think I'll be going for any legendary I only have one at the moment, not bad, but that's because I don't earn as much Glint.
Nice work, a good strong EOS and having almost all of the rare rewards cards maxed out is quite an accomplishment. I just wonder what's going to happen to Modern not that Chaos will be out. I wonder who will still be able to play it? Are you still buying the Wild pass?
I tend to keep GF cards until later to see if I can max them out. I guess there's no rush to burn them, you can always do it later once you have a clearer image whether they'll reach the level you want or not.
Maybe it's good that you don't play survival. I play it up to a few times each season, but for example now at the beginning of the season I forgot to disable my main deck on survival and all or most of of it is now in cooldown. I lost a lot from that mistake, because I can't play Ranked at least for another day when my legendary cards and GF epics get unlocked. And even then, I'll probably lose more than win until the rest of the play deck gets back from cooldown.
That's the problem with playing survival mode: you're definitely going to be forgetting and once you do your cards are locked and you can't play ranked battles even though your mana is wasting away..
I choose not to play survival because I really don't have much cards, and my Guild games are going to suffer with all that cool down stuff.
You're right, I guess there shouldn't be a rush to actually burn these cards, so I'll just watch out and see which I can max out.
I somehow managed to get myself out of this. I only had something like 1 maxed level summoner and played it once or twice when my energy reached 50, to not waste any energy.
Then, my other legendary summoners (and the rest of legendary cards) got unlocked and I could have more options. I'll see at the end of the season how much this has cost me in terms of Glint (if it did), because I don't keep a track of the amount of SPS I earn every season.
Anyway, could have been much worse if I didn't have these legendary summoners than got unlocked in 2 days.
I think it'll definitely cost you in terms of Glint, I'm not sure about SPS because I don't know how much you earn per season, although you've highlighted that you don't keep track of the SPS you earn.
I'm very terrible with tracking time and especially the idea of cool down because I know I might mess it up.
But since you probably have more cards than me, I think you'll find a way, which you already did.
I might not play Wild anymore, because it's getting expensive, however I'll try out survival when I can no longer pay to play in wild
