The James Webb space telescope has been giving us surprises since it came into operation, but this news can be truly amazing, the James Webb has analyzed the atmosphere of an exoplanet and has found carbon dioxide and methane in it.

To clarify the above, this does not mean that it has a gravity 8.6 times greater, gravity depends on factors such as density, a planet much more massive than the Earth, but less dense can have a gravity similar to that of the Earth, we have A very clear example is that of Saturn, a gas giant that has 95 Earth masses, however, its surface gravity is only a little greater than that of the Earth; someone who weighed 80 kilos on Earth on Saturn would weigh 85.2 kg.

K2 18 b sería un sub Neptuno por ser más pequeño que Neptuno. pero todo indica que además sería un mundo oceánico o un icean, los astrónomos creen que estos exoplanetas podrían ser más abundantes que los mundos similares a la Tierra y serían un lugar muy adecuado para que en ellos hubieran surgido formas de vida y aquí entramos en la parte asombrosa de la noticia, porque el James webb en ese análisis atmosférico es posible, aún no está confirmado, pero es posible que haya detectado sulfuro de dimetilo.


Quien esté estudiando biología tendrá en este momento los ojos como platos porque en la tierra esa molécula solo es producida por las formas de vida en concreto por el fitoplancton en ambientes marinos, el fitoplancton es como la hierba del océano son los microorganismos que forman el plancton que se caracterizan por ser capaces de alimentarse captando la energía solar durante la fotosíntesis y son la base de la alimentación de la fauna marina.
