I was going to suggest this but didn't wanna put you to work. Title, isbn (if is has one) , edition if available would be all I need in a spreadsheet
Is there some kind of app that I could use to scan the ISBN and create a database with?
probably but I don't know what it is. depending on your scanner, some support different functions after scan like pressing enter. That would make filling a spreadsheet much easier but that's about all I can think of
