In other news, kudos to LEO for stirring up the pot a bit and making all the Hive people VERY uncomfortable on X about the DHF....It's a discussion no one seems to want to have.

they don’t want to have it ???
nah meaning, they all seem not to admit, there is one guy on the blockchain who control it all.
right. What a joke.
For avg newbie trying to understand on Hive what does unvoting DHF means? Like is it similar to those fund based projects which gets backing from core team of board of this chain and khal decided to back out?
Yeah, the DHF are the funds that projects receive once they are approved. It's supposed to be decnetralized, but there is one guy who controls whether or not a project gets funded.
Drama? Is there a link? 🤩
ha ha ha ha i think it's more of a convo...everyone should be talking about, but a lot wont because they will get their meal tickets taken away.
That's totally understandable, people weren't that into sharing opinions in East Germany either. 😀
Hive - East Germany, but this time on-chain
I don't know why can't I reply here. So added the reply to the rethread instead.
We're taking a lot of flak for this
Worth it. This is wrong
You are literally saying out loud, what everyone thinks. But a lot of them (the ones that get funded) wont say a word. They dont want to upset the powers that be.
really? I just saw one negative reply from the same sociopath that has single handedly held hive back for years with his subjective horse shit downvoting campaign against people he doesn’t like.
If there is more drama feel free to link me to it. I want to know who is a hypocrite.
I don’t think they stirred the pot. They made the one guy who has been pissing on the chain for years angry.
I know at the end of the day, nothing will really change. Why would it, those with the power wanna stay in power. Human nature and all. I just think it's always good when we get away from calling things decentralized when they aren't. I dunno what is there days anyways lol i cant keep up
Crypto has never really been decentralized. Money cannot be decentralized with anonymity and I understand the case for both.
I do think bitcoin is RELATIVELY decentralized compared to fiat because many opposing forces invest heavily in it, and it has enough prominence for people to care.
I also believe Hive could get there, but it hasn’t attracted the right investment, and most of the current whales are indifferent to that or don’t really see who the real problem is (bullies who disguised their own self interest with “rewards dispute”
My stance is always the same. I won’t start drama but I won’t hide my opinion from people who ask, and I won’t vote people who put self interest before the chain every time.
Hive still provides me with the friends and rewards to lift up my creative side which I haven’t gotten as much elsewhere so I will stay there as long as I can. (I hope Leo doesn’t go back to being finance focused, I’m keeping my investment either way because I trust the team to create a good product and listen to us, but if hive and Leo split neither will feel like home to me).
Decentralization can’t rely only on protocol alone. It needs a culture that believes in and supports the core values. Without this it will always die.
I’ve always seen crypto as just a tool that CAN potentially promote this but 99% of the energy is put into quick gains
Sorry for the rant. I’m obviously not disagreeing with anything you said. You just provoked me to say something I’ve been thinking
nah nah. rants appreciated! it’s a good convo.
i agree with you as well. this place (hive) has been my home. it’s a great place with great people.
while i think the social side of leo will remain unchanged, the focus i think for them will be the new blockchain with thor etc. that seems to be the passion now.
yeah, I think leodex being the focus is a good idea with the interest these other projects have in Leo. It will be smart for them to keep INLEO functioning well. No need for any crazy new features right away, but a few bug fixes and filling out existing features will give those other communities a place to hang out.
Khal should focus on the aspect of development he’s excited about foremost. That kind of passion shows and make the project stand out.
I think he needs some ravings fans to run the community engagement here. Things I have noticed took a dip, seems like some original Lions have left? But I think LEODEX is his passion, and there are some here that INLEO is theirs...
Need both to thrive me thinks!
I have too much going on to offer to do much more but I want to keep using my stake to encourage good stuff here at least. Might delegate some more Leo, and hopefully Leo reaches .5 Hive soon so my stake can spread out could do a lot
