So I pretty much cashed out about 50,000 $HIVE in 2024....And while I don't have any regrets, the only think I'm struggling with is that my influence has shrunk when it comes to voting for proposals and witnesses.
In 2025, I'm going to stack some more HIVE to get some of that influence back. But $LEO remains the end goal for every single thing I do on chain in 2025.

the only reason to have Hive is for that type of influence.
ya man. i hate not being able to get some of these LEO proposals passed just from within the community itself.
i was just in one of the "private" hive groups and a bunch of them are so negative on InLeo.
They don't want to grow they want to farm the reward pool for themselves.
and don't want to improve the core blockchain tech.
Literally the same attitude when I 1st got here and onboarded a bunch of play-by-post gaming groups and they chased them away.
oh it's clear as day. i dont even bother talking about it anymore because this has been like this since Steem and nothing changes lol.
the big accounts / top witnesses rule the roost. and have no desire to grow because they make a living and killing keeping things status quo.

This is why I have said the InLEO really needs to fork away and just create their own chain. Not sure what all that would take, but I know that I would be happy to spin up a witness node if that situation were to arise.
Yeah I'd love to see LEO develop into something that doesnt 'need' Hive per se. I'd do the witness thing for sure as well

i curate threads mostly. but that's a personal thing. i'm not a member of the leo team anymore. so everything i do, i curate right on threads.

i think if you focus on $LEO, you end up getting hive too in the process. kills two birds with one stone
Yep on the other hand, I can also focus on HP, delegate to leo.voter and get Leo that way.

One thing for sure is my funds won't leave the blockchain. It's just a matter of prioritizing which tokens first. 😀
