Lección de humildad y servicio. -- Lesson in humility and service.

This verse directly touches our ego. Let us remember Jesus, the Son of God, the teacher, the one who could walk on water, the one who had and has authority over all that exists. Jesus decided to kneel and wash the feet of each disciple. If we go back to those times, this would be the work of a slave.

This teaches us a great lesson about leadership: true leadership is demonstrated through service; leadership has nothing to do with commanding. Jesus was not only a preacher of humility; he lived it and transmitted it at all times. Jesus used his position to serve, not to be served.

Today we can learn that no one is above or held in higher esteem than another before God, and leadership is not measured by the number of people who follow you, but by how much you are serving. Let us always remember that humbling yourself in this way is not weakness; on the contrary, it is strength and humility at its finest.

Are you willing to get off your pedestal and get on your knees to serve others? This means "doing what others don't want to do."

So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

John 13:14

Éste versículo nos toca directamente el ego, recordemos a Jesús el hijo de Dios, el maestro, aquel que podía caminar sobre las aguas, el que tenía y tiene autoridad sobre todo lo que existe, Jesús decide ponerse de rodillas y lavar los pies de cada discípulos. Si nos trasladamos a esos tiempos, este sería el trabajo de un esclavo.

Esto nos da una gran lección con respecto al liderazgo, el verdadero liderazgo se demuestra a través del servicio, el liderazgo nada tiene que ver con mandar. Jesús no solamente era un predicador de la humildad, la vivía y la transmitía en todo momento, Jesús utilizó su posición para servir y no para ser servido.

Hoy podemos aprender que nadie está por encima o es de mayor estima que otro delante de Dios y el liderazgo no se mide tampoco por la cantidad de gente que te sigue sino a cuanto tú estás sirviendo, recordemos siempre que humillarse de esta manera no es debilidad al contrario, es fuerza Y humildad en su máxima expresión.

¿Estás dispuesto a bajarte del pedestal y ponerte de rodillas para servir a los demás? Esto significa "hacer lo que otros no quieren hacer".

Pues si yo, el Señor y el Maestro, he lavado vuestros pies, vosotros también debéis lavaros los pies los unos a los otros.
