Welcome to another great day of the week, come closer let's read together about the current state of criticism.

Criticism is known to be an expression of disapproval of someone or something on the basis of perceived faults or mistake.

Criticism can be constructive or negative, depending on the critic's intentions, how it's presented, and how the person being criticized perceives it.

But then I'm still on the opinion of not taking criticism from everyone, and one of the reasons is because I believe that it's not everybody who's qualify to criticize you irrespective of how constructive it may appear.

I'm writing to say this because criticism should be first a function of intention before anything else.

But funny enough, some people only chose to live for moments of criticism and corrections, but stayed quiet at moments of applause. I mean they'll never thought of giving a thumbs up, they would never applaud your groundbreaking feats, but are usually the first to call your attention to what we are not doing well.

But here's what I have to say, that before anyone thought of criticizing someone else for what they're not doing well, or getting wrong, kindly ensure you're also praising them for everything they're currently getting right.

That way, you'll not be seen as a voice of condemnation, but a voice of objective commendation because humans mind respond better to encouragement than discouragement mostly, to persuasion than dissuasion.

Instead of waiting for me to make a mistake, just so you can come in and sounds like some wise old sage or and elder statesman. It's quite essential to begins with words of encouragement and applauding my little efforts and probably the 99% good I achieve.
That way, when it's time for you to do some corrections in the future I will be the first to not just give listening ears, but adjust because you've proven to be a person with noble intentions.

Just as in the case of trying to avoid getting common results in life, it's not advisable to approach any important steps in your life with common sense, because an uncommon man will always need access to an uncommon knowledge.

I'm not intending on taking off from us a place of criticism through my write-up. But this a gentle reminder that not everyone should criticize.

I truly know of no manner of speaking so offensive as that of giving praise, an closing it with an exception. After reading through this beautiful write-up, let try to show ourselves more human than critical and our pleasure will increase.

Criticism, just like a rain, is expected to be gentle enough to nourish a man's growth without destroying his roots.
