Waikuku Beach | Waves, People & Paragliders in the Sky 🇳🇿

The habit of always on the lookout for scenic spots during my work travels has often paid off. Some of my colleagues just travel for work, to site, motel, shop and home. To me that's boring! I like to explore 😀

I did a five hours work-lated return drive to Kaikoura yesterday and on my way back I took a 3km detour to Waikuku Beach ⛱️ which I have driven past so many times. I am glad I took the detour.

So I went for a short walk on the beach because I had a lot to still get done yesterday. Waikuku beach ⛱️ turned out to be a cool beach, not a lot of people as always but a crowd of three people is already a crowd in New Zealand 😀

The interesting part on the beach for me was watching the Paragliders in the sky and wishing to do it but how is that thing operated, will I have an operator with me? I'd like try it but not over the ocean because I don't want that thing plunging into the sea when I can't swim 🤣
