I found it interesting that this three, which is famously called That Wanaka Tree is very popular on social media. There are lots of videos on YouTube about the Tree and photos on the internet.
I never knew about the Tree, my colleague told me about it when we were working in Wanaka, so after work I took a drive to go check it out and I was amazed at how tourists walked towards the tree for photos 📸
It is a lonely tree in the lake, come winter, summer any season, this tree remains rooted down the lake giving nature lovers something to wonder and admire.

I've just read that it is estimated to be around 80 years old and one of the most photographed trees in the world.
