Sacred Mount Eden Rain Walk, Auckland

https://youtube.com/shorts/iBSEYIkSvJs?si=iA2gR6p0rass0z15

The Easter weekend has come and gone, and I hope you all enjoyed it. As for me, it could have been better as we had terrible storm weather, particularly in the North Island and Auckland, precisely.
At some point, I thought my flight was going to be canceled as we had a cyclone warning. Thankfully, I got to Auckland and back safely.

But the weather was terrible! I spent two nights in Auckland, it was a short visit. My friend recommended Mount Eden for me to visit a Maori sacred site.

We made it to the summit of Mount Eden, and it suddenly started to rain with strong winds. The views were gorgeous from the summit, but that's nature.

I had a view of the iconic Sky Tower, I stood there imagining the view on a beautiful sunny day. Perhaps one day, when I am back in Auckland, I will do Mt Eden again and probably do the Sky Tower, too.

These photos aren't great but I thought I'd share with you 😉

Even though the weather wasn't great. The views are stunning.
That boardwalk is pretty cool on its own too.
You will be back to explore more one day.
Have a great evening Joe 😊

Wow, the place you visited is very beautiful, the vibe is very calm. The cloudy sky is very supportive of walking there, the atmosphere is increasingly serene. I like the design of the stairs, it's very cool.

I wouldn't mind the clouds and cold to wandered around there much longer, my visit to Mt Eden was very short, I hope to visit again in the future.

Time off on the North island change of view, pity it rained, simply added experience living there, it rains quite a lot.

Sunning panoramic views over the city with low cloud floating in.

I still prefer the South Island even though I haven't explored the North Island much.

I left Christchurch in 3 layers and immediately started sweating 😓 when I arrived in Auckland despite that it was raining there 😅.

Everyone who has been to both mention the South is by far the nicer of the two, suppose it's up to whether you prefer the cold or warmer as North is warmer and has more rain.

A beautiful view of the landscape through the clouds. I suppose the atmosphere was absolutely nostalgic. That gray rain induces a state of ecstasy.

Yes, a different kind of beautiful view than I expected, on another day a beautiful blue sky would have given another special kind of beautiful view 😊
