I am beginning to get familiar with the South Island geography, I now know that Hokitika is located on the West Coast, and I kind of feel good about it.

Just over 3 weeks ago, my friend and I went for a weekend away at Hokitika.

We went straight to Hokitika Beach, where we had our packed sandwich 🥪 lunch, and the seagull invited herself to the table.

Great view of Hokitika Beach, busy with tourists and locals...

Looks amazing with lots of water basins inland according to the map.

Cool wooden branches to indicate the name of the beach 👍 In your photos, the water looks cold, doesn't it?
Have a great Weekend

I find the wooden branches to be interesting, I saw photos of it online and thought it was a temporary thing but was surprised its permanent which is cool.

Lol no, it was a cood day, so I didn't test the waters if it is cold or warm.
